Dylan gets relentlessly trashed on here and most have bought in to the group think. Yeah he has limitations but the idea that some lukewarm portal QB is somehow going to be better is questionable at best. IMO IF we go portal, I would rather see an FCS or D2 guy who has won at those levels with an outstanding TD to INT ratio and completion percentage. Were not going to get a top D-1 portal QB. There are too many playoff teams who need QBs and don’t play our schedule next fall.
Dylan is gone, dude. His uncle nearly got his own nephew killed. His uncle was a big reason why this was another VERY disappointing Husker season. Rhule got rid of the uncle. Dayton was told no thanks. And, ultimately Dylan did what Dylan always does. Flee for another location. His next college team won't be his last.

We can get a top portal QB if the checkbook is as big as Rhule claims it is now. However, I don't believe Rhule has the funds. I think he is completely full of ****.

he was a 7th round pick and hasn't seen the field yet. Regardless, he wasn't a top player in the portal when Indiana signed him. That is the point.
I watched him play multiple times at Ohio. I thought he was one of the better portal QBs available. That said, who do you think we can get from the portal who will be better than Raiola? Spray sounds like a lock to Indiana. TCU’s QB is trending to Tennessee. Miami and Oregon both probably need QBs.

...Dayton broke up with us. We didn't break up with him.

..still haven't seen anything from DR saying he's leaving. Maybe there's a chance. I'd take him back.

I havent seen any of his visits - but again is he trying to negotiate a package deal for his entire family while at the same time healing a broken leg? This round may not be as exciting as his first recruiting experience.

Don’t know, but given his inability to negotiate the pocket, I assume he’s not capable of dealing on his own behalf

Meh. I think he’ll land in a good spot but will be humbled. I can’t see him slinking back to Lincoln but you never know. His radio silence is smart. He’s not burning any bridges. Coaches don’t appreciate that and “if you can’t say anything nice” is in play here. Let’s not forget he had Satt for his OC/QB coach originally.

I hope (assuming he does leave) that he kills it at his next stop. Can't help but think that would aid in the removal of Matt. Losing record next season, combined with losing your star recruit you couldn't make hay with, and somebody else did? Couldn't hurt. ...plus i don't like the way he's being trashed on this board.

The Mahomes costume act is and has always been absurd

Its a cash business. All the old, good stuff is out the window. I don't send a thank you note when I start going to a different gas station.
