3A is absolutely loaded this upcoming season!
I agree, there’s a legit 3-4 state championship caliber teams in the West alone. Heard your boys are bringing in a QB from York.

We had a QB move in from East Mecklenburg. So that’s cool if we have one coming from York as well.
Yep and we had one transfer in from East Meck also. I am hearing a 3rd qb is looking to come in also. Our backup from last year is looking good though so we will see.
Possible young speedster coming there as well. I dont know how the track speed relates to his football skills but I am sure coaches will find some use for it if the move does happen. Family is currently looking at houses in the area.
I guess KM could rotate the 4 QB's. Talking about loaded.

West Charlotte is another team everyone should keep an eye on. The Dub-C is getting an influx of really good young talent from Ransom Middle. Also a few studs from Piedmont Middle. Those young guy should mix in well with the young talent WC has returning this season.
I am really surprised to see Kings Mountain ranked over Crest with all the talent Crest has coming back this year. I would almost say Crest is the favorite in the Big South even though that’s hard for me to say being a KM fan.
Yeah I am not saying that KM is not bringing back some good talent but Crest didn’t lose much of anything and y’all have the same coaches for the most part and the big thing your QB is coming back who is really good. I just think KM will be good but might have some growing pains learning a whole new system and also breaking in a new QB.
I am VERY SURPRISED because CRESTRULZ and THE BIG[NEESES]SAUSAGE have already told us that this years CREST TEAM is a SUPER TEAM.

Dont think folks realize what's happening at West Charlotte. The talent from the 26 and 27 classes is unreal. If they keep getting this type of talent and the coaches remain they will be top 5 in the state regardless of class in a couple years.
Just heard that Anthony Quinn jr from 71st just transferred to Rabun Gap. Ouch!!
That’s exactly why this pre-season ranking should’ve been done over the summer at least. That’s a huge loss for the next two seasons. I know some other moves that’s expected to happen that would put one of these teams arguably number one.
I am aware of a few big movements or potential movements myself. I prefer to wait until Aug. 1st when most of the ink is drive. No use of getting fans stirred up in May over this lol.
I wonder if I know you, if not I’m sure we know some of the same people. You seem to be knowledgeable of a lot of moves around the state as well.
That linebacker group this year will be special! But yeah with some of the additions they made on the staff as well, they’re going to be a problem in the near future.
Smith is severely underrated. Not many state schools in on him. He is an athletic freak. Add in Carmichael, Bullard and Napier and they are going to be really strong in the back 7.
Severely underrated? He has 20+ offers that feature Kentucky, Michigan,USC, etc. I don’t think he’s close to being underrated. I’m not sure why in state schools aren’t on him as hard though. I agree, the back 7 will be tough especially with those two corners williams and jones.

Underrated as in he should be a 4 star easily and in state schools should be banging down the door. When u talk 2024 not many bring him up. He could be the top player in NC and isnt even on a top 25 list for the state. When u look back in 4-5 years and this dude in the NFL people go wonder how they missed him. We focus on qb/wr in rankings and very rarely do they meet expectations in college vs. Defensive guys.
You seem real dialed in with CMS schools. Think MC and WC take over the next few years. MC has some very impressive players. Indy is good too.
Our circles may touch. I have several longtime friends that coach in CMS, middle school and high school right now. Football and basketball. I also have friends or friends of friends coaching in different areas of the state. I am pretty plugged in to the DMV region also but not many fans from that area on here.
He was their best player and work horse.
Yeah you’re right! He doesn’t even have an offer from UNC or State which is crazy. His recruitment is actually odd imo. How do you have an offer from USC which is all the way across the country but not schools in your back yard. You would think that would’ve caught the attention from in state schools.
I know some of the kids. Creeks jv was huge last year, the area is steadily growing and they play the toughest schedule in the state so I can definitely see them rising back to the top. I think a power shift is happening from chambers to WC.

The issue with offers is that so many schools are looking transfer portal first. Kids that used to be guaranteed are going the smaller school route to start and jumping back in.
Yeah definitely switching from Chambers to West Charlotte. Folks don't really understand how good of a coach Brand and Ferebee were and Richardson as AD. Was an excellent combo. The talent level at Chambers and their mentality was off the charts. Natural attrition, CMS crackdown, and coaching change will slow Chambers some. No offense, but Brand/Ferebee were just different animals when it came to preparation and game planning.
MC is a team full of grown men. To me, their 8-4 record was more impressive than the season Hough/ Chambers had. Talent fluctuates at most CMS schools except for MC and Hough But MC is natural talent whereas Hough......no comment.
The flow of middle school and west side talent that fed Chambers in recent years has shifted dramatically to WC. This change along with West Charlotte having a more consistent coaching group along with their improved athletic facilities is fueling the rise of the Lions. The 24 and 25 season versions of the Lions are going to be absolutely nasty.
You are correct. Have been yelling at folks that the IB middle schools are changing the HS football game in Charlotte especially with the CMS crackdown. Ranson, Randolph, JMA, and Piedmont have all the athletes in basketball and especially football because they come from all over the violet district which is EASILY the most talented for sports. What school are they zoned too? West Charlotte and NM. If WC gets 80% of those guys as they seem to be doing they will be nasty nasty at the 3A level. 24, 25, 26 seasons will be crazy good. Great coaching, great tradition, and great facilities = a big win for West Charlotte. Whereas parents have to play games to get into Hough, Chambers, or MC they can go to WC with no issues. Then if it doesn't work out they can simply go to their homeschool w/o issue.
I know newera is plugged in pretty well with the triad. So when he said he knew of a move, I assumed it would be Dudley.
If it is Dudley I have an uneducated guess of who it could be.
Do you think families are going to be priced out of the west side? I have a direct line to a real estate acquisition firm and when I say they are buying up the west side,they are buying it up and flipping same day to investors. Was told that's the hottest place to invest in and it will see huge jump in returns in the next couple of years. Also, with proposed new alignment, West Charlotte would be 6A in 2025 I believe.

I was going to say the same thing. The new alignment is taking place after the next two seasons so it’s no telling where West Charlotte will end up but I would guess they would move up.
You mentioned something about Page in another thread. I'm hoping its not their big fish.
WC is definitely moving up in next realignment. I am pretty sure that Dudley will also be moving up in next also. Dudley’s adms are already more than some of the smaller 4A’s.
Most definitely, I expect both to move up. Do you think Kings Mountain staying in the same division as Crest? I know it’s expected to grow in that area.
