It wasn't easy for East last time and I think that They would agree. Antonio got hurt during that game and Brewer stepped in to play a good game.
I must say I was not thrilled with our draw, but our defense looked great last night and as long as we can shore up our special team miscues , I think EM gets the victory.
Was not thrilled to have to play somebody out of our conference 1st round. Was hoping to see somebody new. Our defense is much improved from last time we played them. Glad Williams is healthy, you guys will need him just like we need all our guys healthy.
Me too I think its sux because during playoff time I would like to see someone new that we havent played already..oh well
It will be interesting to see how East responds following their loss to West. I'll take East in this one.

McKinney is special. I've watched him for about 8 years now, give him a couple of steps and it's trouble. Word I got was he was at Carolina Saturday for a visit.
We will see if the North Stanly Coaching Staff can get Their Players ready for EM. Usually North has A business as usual Attitude. They have got to up it a notch for the Playoffs. Play like Your playing Albemarle every week
I was the first on this board ( I think ) to say McKinney was the best athlete in the conference and Im obviously an EM fan , but to call Williams average at best , is not correct. I know that WM has shut him down , but look at what Alabama did Leonard Fournette. A great defensive front (WM has one and has a recent history of one) can shut down a power back like Williams. He is better than average based on all of his offers alone. EM wil have their hands full with North Stanly, but I believe EM pulls out the win.
If North plays like they can they will win by 10 if they play like they have lately they will loose by 14..Hopefully they will play at the top of there game this friday
You can ask anybody that knows College Football and how they choose who is s D1 Prospect. They are drafting him on measurements alone. He is a great kid and has the grades to match but if they draft on numbers then there's others who would surpass Williams, whether true or inflated stats.
This game will come down to who's Defense shows up. If the EM D that played against WM shows up and plays 4 qtrs then EM moves on.
Simple concept, play solid d and hand the ball (or throw it if you absolutely have to) to #24 around 20-25 times. Pepper in some plays to others to keep them honest. I think everyone here knows my opinion of the NS d. 3 years in the YVC and I'm still trying to find it. Just like my glasses, never can find them when I really need them.
If any of the dozens of schools that have wanted Williams or ones he committed to then decommitted from are at the game once they see 24 on the field they may be second guessing themselves... Like I said earlier 24 will be the best rb on the field hands down!
Hard to know what the game plan will be from coach hammer. I've learned in a very short time that he knows what he is doing. I would hope to see a heavy dose of 24 but I'm not the coach so we will see. Hammer will have them ready and that's the bottom line.
Hammer should be YVC Coach of the Year! Simply because of the turn around in such a short amount of time!
Agreed. I like watching EM's offense based on the fact their not so predictable......
What I couldn't understand was the almost complete absence of Maynor in the West game. Was wondering if he was hurt and just on the field for the moral aspect. Either that or Watts couldn't get him the ball due to the defensive pressure. Strange though that he didn't play a part unless he was a decoy. Again, kudos to Coach Hammer and McKinney. He will be a force to be reckoned with in the future as I hope our Freshman Rhome will be.
Yeah I feel Maynor should have got some snaps...I seen Rhome play several times this year and yes he is nasty
It looked to me like the plan was to hit him with a pass in open space as a receiver and let him make a play. Fortunately the pass rush was in the QB's face quickly and it negated that plan. Manor is a special athlete.
