Interesting. Essex stopped on 4th possession (went for it on like 4th and 23).

Sussex scores on 59 yard pass TD to Hill. 2 point conversion no good.

Essex needs to get back to the run, not sure why as soon as he got a 5 yard loss he goes to air.

WRAR football radio pregame show said that Sussex only had two passing completions in last weeks game, a win with no time left on clock. Both passing completions were TDs to, you guessed it, this Amari Hill player (he had a 45 yarder and 29 yarder at end of game v WC). Nice job to Hill.

They may wanna pass more (but I hope not lol).

Just saw that VT may hire Memphis Coach to replace Beamer. Wow, the Hokies fighting UVA as we speak to make bowl and news breaks already!

Agreed. Martin had the 46 yarder TD and then went down & made tackle on the kickoff.

Sussex just turned ball over back to Essex.

Interesting note, I believe this will make 18 straight home playoff wins for Essex. They have not lost at home in the playoffs since King William upset them in 2007.

Galax won, so if GW beats Radford Essex plays Galax. If Radford win, Essex will play Radford.

Congrats to Essex on the victory! Win and advance. Went up 21-0 and then lost some momentum a bit to say the least...somewhat concerning.

Essex Pass D got chewed up by a mostly run team in Sussex. The only good thing is the great teams remaining do not pass the ball much.

Malik Martin may be the best overall player in 1A...He is hard to stop in all three phases of the game!

at King George next Saturday at 2. Turf field will certainly be a big help if win. Galax v Essex looks like.

The Hill kid from Sussex must be a heck of a player.
