And re-watch the USC game below, at your own peril. I watched the second half & lost my mind all over again. There are blown calls & ticky tack foul calls throughout. My particular favorite is at 3:26 left in the game when Marsh clearly throws his body at Budd to attempt to draw a foul & throws up a wild shot just to get something up. No offensive foul call, then Budd is immediately bearhugged with two arms by Marsh for a few seconds straight & no call. Also, lead ref seemed to have it in for Sha from jump. I was behind our bench, and very early in the game he warned Sha to be quiet or he was going to get a T after Sha pushed back on him on something in a pretty harmless way imo, especially at that early point in the game. Refs were total garbage or in on it, and they are the reason we lost.

Everyone complains about the refs. That's what being a sports fan is all about.

But to me the most critical calls are the ones made late in the game because there is no coming back from them. And the last two calls of note were just brutal.

Refs impact a game as much as players do. They had an atrocious game. Even people who aren’t fans of either team acknowledged it.

Was the same official who blew the 3 late calls - the phantom foul on Payne, the out of bounds on Payne and he gave USC the timeout when Baker-Mazara was trapped in the corner and tied up by 2 SH players with their hands in the ball. His name is Marques Pettigrew. Hope to never see him again.

On the foul call on Payne there was another official literally staring at the play from 3 feet away on the baseline and didn't call a foul yet Pettigrew called one while backpedaling away from 18 feet away. Then he stopped the game for 10 minutes for the clock issue. I don't like to rag on officials but this guy just took so much enjoyment from this game. Even the announcers were saying it was ridiculous. What a shame.

He also called a lot of the fouls against Ezra. If someone has the patience, I wonder how many of the fouls and bad calls in this game were made by him.

The 5th foul on Budd was BS also but not by Pettigrew. Was a deadball foul prior to inbound after a Timeout. Marsh tried to rub Clark into a screen but got his feet tangled and tripped. Yet they Foul Out Clark for tripping. What a shame!

Then on the inbound after he gave them the Timeout, Marsh put both hands on Staton-McCray and pushed him to the ground right in front of Pettigrew. Blatant pushoff which got him open to catch the inbound pass. AJ got up off the floor to foul him with 1.8 remaining. What a shame.
