Can't imagine they won't, as that basement area of Patrick's is basically required for that event...Originally posted by IsRichieGonnaStart:
Really excited about this weekend. Taking Thursday and Friday off.
Can't wait to see Main St taken over by The Faithful. Hopefully they'll block off Washington St and turn it into a block party like they did in 2012.
He was asking of Marrow is married to a blonde. And the answer is no. His wife is a prof at UK and is about as opposite of blonde as they come.Originally posted by tgh3316:

What's the 'main area' of bars/etc (if there is one) downtown that will likely be BBN/Fan Central?
Duke lost at home by 16 to Miami. Robert Morris and/or North Florida will break one off in them.Originally posted by klambert6:
Northern Iowa lost to Evansville. Louisville will break one off in them.

I think UL is more likely to lose its first game than to make it to the Final Four.

The Bryant Bracket is now active. You have to have a CBS Sports login, so set that up or have them send you a password reminder. The password is "goteam". If you need an invite, please post your email address.
Brackets are $10 each and you can fill out up to 3. Brackets and payment are due Thursday at noon before the first tip. I got dinged by paypal 2 years ago and can't run the payments through there. I'll figure out payment options soon. Please pay.
The winner gets 1/2 the pool and 1/2 goes to Bike to Beat Cancer.
Is it Marrow or Brumbaugh who has a really nice looking blonde wife?Originally posted by tgh3316:

No ****. Seems like there's another one every couple of years. And they're all 7-foot.Originally posted by Booker Noe:

How many of them are there?

Yup. You really need a team that can bang with us defensively, but I'm not sure any of the other contenders besides Arizona offers that. I don't think Duke, Wisconsin, or Gonzaga are nearly physical enough. Virginia might be, but their size is an issue.Originally posted by wcc31:
What I've noticed is that when talking about teams who can beat us, everyone (coaches, media, etc) focuses on who would be able to score on us, but they don't mention who could stop us. Our offense is really good, underrated, actually.
"Consider Gonzaga. [Kyle] Wiltjer is a problem for them because he can stretch them. And then they've got [Domantas] Sabonis and [Przemek] Kanowski who can bang with them and make baskets with them down there. Karnowski is so wide and can carve out an angle."Originally posted by wcc31:

No kidding, I thought this as well. One of the best signs I've seen was when the one who played for Auburn was there. We were playing them on (I think) Super Tuesday, and student had a sign that saidOriginally posted by wcc31:

Interesting you say that. Nate Silver (the 538 guy) just wrote an article saying basically the same thing, except he refers to the top 6: UK, Arizona, Nova, Duke, Wisconsin, Virginia.Originally posted by wcc31:
UK over Villanova
Gonzaga, Arizona
I hate going so chalky but I've thought all year the Top 7 has been pretty clear.
Well, considering it's been an issue for them for damn near 2 decades now, I'd say the answer is probably "No."Originally posted by wcc31:
What I think may hurt them is the finesse style of their league. The NCAA is athletic and physical (one reason why I think the SEC prepares UK well for March, lots of athletes). Will Gonzaga be ready for that after two months of a different style of play?
