NCAA recognizes 4 All American Teams:

USBWA
Sporting News
NABC
AP

Willie has already made the 1st 2. 2 more and he's a consensus All American, which is very elite company here at UK.

Would be pretty incredible for him (already is) considering his path.

100% true. If we do run the table, the thing that will make me happiest is how unhappy so many others will be. Probably not the healthiest attitude.

Chad has that accent going on JMO.

I like Decourcey, and he's as much of a Cal/UK guy as there is on the national scene...

...but he also consistently has some of the worst/awful takes, and just digs his heels in with them.

- Wisconsin is damn good, but we did a helluva job on Kaminsky last year and that was without the most ready-made Kaminsky-stopper on the planet in WCS.

- Seeing what UNC did to Duke inside gives me a lot of confidence against them. Plus, their guards are dwarfs compared to ours. But that's a helluva big game team. Hope someone else takes them out.

- DeCourcy's not perfect but he's the best in the business, IMO.

- NKy/Cincy accent- the lass acts like I sound like an Appalachian red. You guys act like I sound like I'm from Canada.

Cauley Stein is the leader of this team. They all look up to him. He's the most vocal on the court and has been the go to for postgame
interviews.

That kid has come such a long way and he's only scratching the surface. Scary.

So, was this Tommy's goodbye on his radio show last night? Sure as hell sounds like it.\

Crean said, "The support all of you have shown over the years and especially the last week - I can't tell you what that meant to me to walk in here and see so many people being that way. That gave me a huge jolt for the rest of the week. And again, it's little things like that that make you really appreciate what people are all about. And the way this place was and the way you have been all year long and the support that you show - it's beautiful outside today but we've also come in here when it was zero degrees out. And the loyalty that all of you have to Indiana basketball and what you've shown to the Creans and what you've shown to us, that never ever goes unappreciated. I promise you."

Crean then thanked radio host Don Fischer, saying, "There is a lot of great honors you can get in any walk of life, especially in coaching basketball, but being able to partner up with you for the last seven years and being able to be in here with you this year and being here at this podium with you, I'll put that right at the top, and I'm dead serious. So thank you, for everything."

Absolutely false. He's an idiot.

If Twitter/social media has proved anything --- it's that the real time posting of information has shown many of these media blowhards to know jack ****.

Ohhhh it's easy to sit on your hands over a week cautiously gathering your thoughts on some ******** article you're dropping on your website. But in an argument with a fan on the Twittersphere and you're telling me that Tom Crean is a miracle worker for his rebuilding job at IU?

K.

Agree.

Again, I like Mike. But he shows his *** on Twitter on an almost daily basis. I'll give him credit for always being down for a conversation. I can count on one hand the times he hasn't responded to me.

Think he seems likeable and professional, Joshie.

Have no desire whatsoever to get in an argument with him about Tom Crean & Indiana basketball. None.

A second later - lob, dunk, bedlam. It's a small thing, but it tells you something about how well Ulis sees the floor.
He's so damn good. I love watching draft express film breakdowns on prospects and all the little nuances of their game. Things like balance, spacing, timing, etc. the little things that make a play successful but that the common fan wouldn't recognize. Stuff like what UCL mentioned. He's great at those things. He knows how to create angles with one extra penetrating dribble and when an extra half second of hesitation will open a passing window. He penetrates with purpose and even giving up a foot is at peace in the lane operating in tight space. At his size pressure should bother him more but in the Arky game he was in complete control with their guard riding his hip like a thoroughbred, driving him like he had a bit in his mouth.

I wouldn't trade this season for anything and am spending WAY too many hours absorbing the unabashed love from unusual sources, but it gives me the warm fuzzies knowing he's going to be handed the keys next year.

Was enjoying some sissy shots at Tootsie's with Joshie on Friday, we were talking about how
we were when Ulis had his direct/blatant Turnover against Florida.

Guy next to me in the stands said "God damnit, that's Ulis' 2nd turnover this year"

Pretty much, as far as ones that were entirely his fault, and just purely BAD plays.

He's so good it just takes you back when he actually messes up.

* DeCourcey does a decent job, but I still have trouble forgiving his awful takes in 96, 97 & 98 when he wrote that UC would beat UK.

* My head is in a fog still from Nashville.

* Northern peeps think I sound like a southern neck. Southern peeps think I sound like a Yankee. Just weird, I guess.

* My 4-yr old's new soccer coach is pure smoke. And I'm currently sleeping with the assistant coach.

* The drive home from the SECT was a nightmare. I rolled in to my house around 11pm and immediately watched the Arkansas game again.

* Broadway Brew House's dry rub smoked wings were the best I've ever had. Anth, they taste like Knockback Nat's, but better.

- Loved Clark's KO shot he bought for BBdK at Legends to totally put him out of commission Friday night. Warned him not to take it. Ten minutes later, dude is not to be seen again for the rest of the evening.

- You couldn't have paid me to stay for the championship game. BBdK and I cruised home at 9am. Best move we ever made. Party's over. Get me home.

Dev has made a few shots, finally, the past few games...

...but he's shaky as hell out there, on BOTH ends.

Still think there is a decent shot we get him back, despite his projections. He & Ulis are so tight.

Ullis has that thing on friggin yo-yo. What a handle.

Bricker probably started to envision the dunk or finish and got ahead of himself when that sick pass was made by Ullis.

I think he'll be OK. The good news is that Aaron is finding his shot - it definitely looks better now than it did early on. Much smoother. Meanwhile his bro is now shooting about 39% from 3-point range.

From Peegs:

I despise what Calipari has done with college basketball... not that he's breaking any rules... or doing anything different than what John Wooden did at UCLA.... or what the USA Olympic basketball team did when the Dream team was first formed... but to assemble that much talent on one team for one season... it's just not right... and the NCAA/NBA/Universities needs to FIX it...oh, that was such a perfect word to use....

That's awesome. Reminds me of something CasualGamerReed would say in one of his mock videos.

^Yeah I don't actually smoke mine, more like a long grill. Smoked wings are phenomenal. Bucks in StL are the best I've had. Smoked then flash fried. Ridiculous. Bernie can verify.

Appreciate the thought -- but Like Chad said, I wouldn't have stayed for a front row freebie & drink/food vouchers for the entire day.

Maybe if I'd planned it all along, but otherwise, there was no way on this one...just went entirely too hard the first 2.5

- Andrew may be our best shooter right now. Dude is just feeling it. No hesitation. Cocky head nod. He's got it down.

- I couldn't be more jealous of someone than I am of BBdK's brother, by the way. Good-looking dude, 25, 6'4" and put together, 3rd year law student at Blemont, lives in downtown Nashville in a nice, monstrous complex made up entirely of 20-somethings, dates a smoking hot beer tub chick at Tootsies, really nice kid, too.

At first I was happy the tip was the late b/c we get to watch the whole day. However, we'll all be toast after the game and I assume calling it a day. Oh well, big day Friday-Sat.

Will be GLORIOUS getting up at 10a Sunday and being on my couch all day. That's pretty rare for me this time of year.

If he comes back, is he a front runner for NPOY? Or is Ben Simmons that good?

-Drop my wings in a fryer and then smother in buffalo sass, please. Thanks. (Anth's are dope, however)

-Making sure the lass gets a bracket or two in this year. In 2013 I didn't allow her to (NIT), and last year the idiot barely completes her bracket at 11:50 am Thursday morning, then doesn't hit submit. I see it on the home computer screen later that evening and had to break the news. to her... jackass.

-Really not going to push it Thursday. I'll have a few and enjoy the game, but I've got stuff to do Friday. Saturday, however, will be merciless.

-Beach Club unwich, no mayo.

-Going to be freezing in Cleveland, I guess.

Still can't believe Probus had Robert Morris in his Final 4...

...Then a UK/UGA final, with UGA taking home the hardware.
