The power in college athletics has shifted. Really, the players have always had the power but just didn't realize it until the past few years.

I hate the "well if you can do it better get out here and try" blasts. Listen MFer you get paid $2+ million to coach this team. Do your job and act better than that.

It sure sounds similar to Joker's "call me when we are 2-10". They have more in common than they do differences.

I pray for all UK football fans, that at some point, the microwave dinger goes off on Mitch.

Must have been bad bc Fylm was Matt's #1 slurper on Twitter not too long ago...

-Lol at blaming Mitch for this current situation.

So we should fire Mitch because we are 4-5 and lost to Auburn, Mississippi State, Tennessee and Georgia the last four weeks?

lol

Can Drew Barker play Athletic Director? Brady's good will from giving tickets away is running out.

This is FHOFADMB's 14th season at UK.

Including 5 seasons with a winning record… 8-5, 8-5, 7-5, 7-6, 7-6

There have also been 3 season with only 2 wins.

He's been here since 2002. I know math is difficult but that's longer than 11. Also we had 5 pretty solid years in the last 11. No idea what you'd like him to do here. He went out and hired a guy, opened up the check book, has put $170M into facilities. Jesus.

I would like for him to stop hiring ******, inexperienced FB coaches. He had his choice of Leach(Joker's second year), Petrino, Mike MacIntyre and Stoops. His top two choices were the latter. They all begged for it. His top two were the worst two by a wide margin.

Then I would like to stop hemorrhaging money in ridiculous buyouts that aren't needed. He could have waited until season's end. I would like to be competitive in our conference in a six year stretch. We're in the SEC but we don't act like it in football.

If an inexperienced coach is terrible after three years I don't want us to owe him anything except moving expenses.

1) I was also on Team Leach but he hasn't exactly been tearing it up at WSU, has he?

2) Touch Petrino.

3) You want to hire good coaches, but don't want buyouts included in their contracts? Good luck with that.

Leach also had a pretty big scandal to get him ousted from Tech. Which is why he wasn't offered. He was never hiring Petrino and it shouldn't need explanation. The rest isn't worth addressing.

1)He is 6-3 and second in the North ahead of Oregon/Cal. He just beat Arizona State.

2) I understand. However, beggars can't be choosers.

3) I said I don't want to owe an inexperienced, ****** football coach any buyout after year three.

2006-2010 was one of the most successful stretches in program history.

When the joker fiasco had ended, Barnhart hired the # 1 defensive coordinator in many minds in college football with winning family pedigree.

Not sure Barnhart is too blame for anything.

At Washington State Leach has gone 3-9, 6-7, 3-9, and 6-3. He's also lost to Portland State this year.

Not exactly setting the world on fire.

1. You would've fired him after going 3-9 last year, correct?

2. -

3. So you have given up on Stoops completely?

The last 3 regular season games mean everything to me. This will be a satisfactory season with 2 more wins. This will be a good season with 3 more wins. This will be a touching brilliant season with 4 more wins (bowl game).

Petrino? I rip Louisville for hiring his *** back every chance I get and for good reason. If you told me we could hire Petrino right now and we'd go 9-4 next year if we did, I'd tell you to get pumped. No lie. What good is winning if I can't stomach the SOB I'm being asked to root for and I can't stomach the person it makes me to root for him?

1) No, he has proven he can win with less over time. In my opinion, that is the only way we will get the ball rolling here. Stoops will have to win with less with his recruiting classes. I am not saying fire Stoops either. What I am saying is after year five if Stoops has failed it would be time for him and Mitch to kick rocks. Hopefully, with no buyout.

3) Not completely. His in game management and choice of coaches is suspect. It feels like he has friends on staff and not quality coaches. In my opinion, with his recruiting he has little chance to be successful( by SEC standards) with what he has shown us so far.

It will depend Willy. I agree with your numbers/thoughts. I just don't have a ton of faith we will beat Vandy. They are pretty bad so hopefully we will.

astounding, 7th straight homegame picked for night

UL game destined for Noon, our pitiful little 'rivalry' pales in comparison to the choices on that day

After listening to Stoops interview I think if Matt was going to hit on the disorganized angle then he should have more examples. There have been several. He didn't sound like he knew what he was talking about and it pissed Stoops off.

The only thing that made me cringe was him saying " You think everybody can do this? Then come on and try. It’s very difficult." I could have done without that but overall it was not as bad as I envisioned.

Aside from: recruiting, taking the win total from the previous year up instead of down, facilities investment, running a program, energizing the fanbase, hiring assistants with recruiting connections and at bare minimum competent coaching ability across the board, and generally not running the program into the ground even by our miserable standards then yeah I can see the similarities between Joker and Stoops. Uncanny, really

1st question for Stoops should have been about QB, 2nd question should have been if he regrets his special teams (non) coaching decision, because that is the disaster that has caused so many problems. We can't gain an inch of positive field position on kick returns or punt returns for our struggling offense, cant stop teams from starting at the 35 or better on kickoffs against our struggling defense.

I would like to know how many punt returns we have even attempted this season. Seems like it is fair catches all day even if the coverage is 15 yards from Timmons.
