I've read quite a bit about the UK loss to UCLA and I understand the UK fan redass- as that's who we are. What I don't understand is how these national guys seem to ignore the fact Marcus Lee- our best big at this point- played 4 minutes and Ulis- our best player- played with an obviously bad elbow. That's all we heard during UNC's **** game was how these would change once Paige was back.

things don't always work out as planned, but at the time, hiring mark stoops was a big time get. everyone in america who follows college football, with the exception of coolcat, applauded the hire.

maybe it's just blind homerism/optimism, but i still have faith in the guy. too many things went right for 2-3 years for this thing to be a bust. im not sure he'll deserve it next year, but he'll have my full support and hope.

Dauster the one guy I've seen that has acknowledged it...and only dropped UK to #3 for that reason.

Also called out Skal & Murray -- seems pretty dead on GYERO views.

Same video of players celebrating the USC promotion but doesn't mean it was a good hire. My guess is Mizzou is viewing it as a interim kind of deal due to the outside issues you listed. PTI was pretty accurate on this, be careful what you wish for(obviously not including Mizzou in this because of cancer) because great coaches are rare.

Shocking but I actually think Mark Richt would have been the perfect hire for UK.

meh, we might have gotten a few rounds of "attaboy", but not really a standing ovation. Stoops wasnt on a hot list of coordinators soon to be head coaches. wasnt a mentioned candidate for any of the '13 job openings, like Tennessee or Arkansas.

Beverly D'Angelo in the shower in Vacation might have been the 1st set of tits I ever set my eyes on. Wow were those things wonderful, a very seminal shaping moment.

Master of None [laughing]

Not very often a comedy comes along that I enjoy. Aziz Ansari is about enjoyable as it gets outside of Larry David.

^The Parents episode was phenomenal. Hopefully it gets a season 2.

-D'Angelo is WS's celeb doppelganger.

I got a kick out of the Kids one...reminded me of all my friends -- especially the guy lying about how awesome it is to get up at 4am every morning b/c "that's what you're supposed to say at a party" [laughing]

Also nice to see Claire Danes keep up her streak of being a psycho *****.

Ryan Bingham show was great, ran into Sutros there too. The opening act, Jamestown Revival, was solid as well. Cool venue. Unfortunately was standing if front of some really annoying *****. You know the kind who needs 6 feet to dance all over the place, but we're packed in like sardines. Spills her drink all over you. Pretty much can't hear out my left ear today from all her damn whistles. Lass and I both wish very bad things to her.

Hit the Silver Dollar before the show, enjoyed it. Man the hipsters. Fortunately got along with them well, no confrontations or stern warning were issued.

Pretty cool that those are his real parents. Guess I need to check out dude's standup...

-I know I'm in the minority, but I've never had a bad meal at Silver Dollar. Really like the place. Fun/different atmosphere for around here.

Can't say the same about El Camino though, what a disappointment that place was.

I don't understand the hate toward hipsters. TS.

Same for millennials, well especially for millennials.

If I had to guess, an 'Americana' (whatever TF that really means) singer/songwriter with a marginal voice who keeps it real by playing very simplistic music mostly about depressing topics.

Seems to be a winning formula for the GYERO "REAL country/music" experts.

Anyone bear a striking resemblance to average looking celebrities or just iconic characters from an actor's prime?

Thanks.

If the Reds wanna contend, they need to sign a team full of players to league minimum contracts and get rid of all their best players.

Not sure how anyone can't understand this, that's how you win in Professional sports.

He doesn't have a marginal voice, quite the opposite. Dude has won grammys and academy awards for his songs as well. Oh well, not for everyone I guess.

bingham is amazing. crazy heart was a movie about a washed up country singer who writes the best song of his career. bingham wrote everything in that movie, and the song that revived the fictional characters career won him both a grammy and emmy in real life. kind of a calling your own shot grand slam, if you will.

to win in baseball you need lots of great players. those guys are typically NOT overpriced free agents in their 30s.

most red dirt/texas country isn't depressing at all. in fact it's typically more rock n roll than anything.

Hipsters are the worst.

Except for millennials.

Millennials are worse than the worst.

Went to a Christmas party Saturday night. Was very nice, they even hired some college kids to help. Dude behind the bar could barely stay off his phone long enough to pour the drinks. Smh

We've been complaining about the new generation for a 150 years and guess what? The people bitching created these little bastards. They're young, dumb and full of unrealistic ideology. In 5-10 years they'll all grow up and get beat down by life enough to figure it out like the Greatest, Boomers, Gen X and will be bitching about whatever we call the next group.

:joy: @ bob bitching about someone on their phone at work. Rich. He was probably waiting on you to finish snapchatting, posting, tweeting your 5th meal of the day

Lotta folks coming around now. Big game Sunday though.

And Cleveland is the UK-level hot mess of the NFL. Probably worse, honestly. If not for the buyout I could see them trying to hire Stoops from us so THANKS MITCH

I still think this song from Crazy Heart ripped off this song from Dumb and Dumber.

That McCaffrey kid is ridiculous. Had a parlay with USC so I watched most of that game. Mercy. Was skeptical before but was literally doing everything. Passing, running, kick offs, punts, receiving. Fournette might be the best pro but the whole stable is ridiculous. Chubb, Elliott, Cook, Henry, McCaffrey and Leonard.

Pretty amazing how seemingly every Bama back is better/breaks the record of the previous one.

Except Damien Harris.
