Hahahaha well if this isn't UK football, I don't know what is

Southern Miss: Sources tell FootballScoop that in addition to Florida offensive coordinator Doug Nussmeier, Southern Miss is also considering Eddie Gran for their head coaching position. Gran, Kentucky’s offensive coordinator, spent the past three seasons as offensive coordinator at Cincinnati and served three seasons prior to that as associate head coach at Florida State. Other candidates have been interviewed as well. Sources tell us a decision could be reached today, tomorrow at the latest barring something unforseen. Stay tuned…

Can't believe I'm saying this but "Deadpool" actually looks really good, maybe the perfect vehicle for Ryan Reynolds' talents.

Big Nerd here - you are 100% correct. It's the role he was born to play and he's been pushing to get the movie made for years. Also, if the funny books are any indication, it will be incredibly violent and inappropriate.

Jon Hale is becoming the best local sports media guy out there. Really informative without making himself part of every story.

Man I miss pickup ball.

About 5 years ago, pre-ACL surgery and pre-kids, I was playing 2 to 3 times a week in the winter. Would venture to say I was better at 30 than I was at any other point in my life mainly because of strength and understanding of the game...even earned respect at the Y from the local HS/college kids. I was the old guy that when picking teams you would hear them say "nah, get em, he can ball".

Now, I would be regulated to designated shooter and passer, I'm sure my handles and shot have fallen off the map as well as my first step...think I would be embarrassed. That doesn't stop me from daydreaming about getting back into bball shape to enjoy a postprime (won't happen).

Vern has the ageless game, big and strong enough to be a bully and do damage in the post where most our age don't care to venture for the beating anymore.

Yea, the early season neutral court W's/beatdowns are fun, but not on the same level as an underdog W in a rival's house IMO.

Think the YUM Center W is the right answer.

I have loved Reynolds since his "Two Guys, a Girl and a Pizza Place" days. Thought he was destined for stardom, but besides ******** movies like Van Wilder and a decent film in "Waiting," he just hasn't found the right role. Been disappointing.

Winning on a hated rival's home floor >>>>>>> Regular season neutral site win

I'm not trying to minimize the potential win, but I hate Duke infinitely more than Kansas. We've also routinely pistol whipped Kansas the last few years, which makes beating them on their floor tasty, but not orgasmic. We rarely get the opportunity to play Duke, and it's even rarer when we beat them with ease. That felt much better to me, even though I know with 100% certainty that @Kansas would be a much better win on paper.

Duke was a big win regardless of where it was played, in terms of our rivalry. You do not want to lose to Duke 4 straight times and all 4 with us ranked in the top 10 at the time. It was quite tasty and had us looking ahead to #9 at the time.

At Louisville in 2010-11 season.

Was there for that one and it was fantastic. Had several stereotypical UL fans sitting behind me. It was magical listening to their comments gradually morph from "we're going to win, to this sucks, to hey we're coming back, to **** this is a blowout."

Top 5 attended game for sure. Silence in the men's room afterwards.

- Love the reverence BBdK/Killa have for Vern's game. Cracks me up for some reason. BBdK doesn't have a nice word to say about anyone, but he'll always pump up Vern's skills.

- My dad used to ball all the time when I was little- played in a 30-and-over men's league at our church, had a yearly pick-up game every MLK Day with his co-workers, etc.

Underrated for me is 2010-2011 in Maui against Washington. There was quite a bit of hate there for such an early season matchup. It loses some luster at UCOON waxed us the next night.

Also 2010-2011 at UT. Its when that team finally broke thru after not being able to win on the road.

Reynolds actually played a bastardized version of Deadpool in the first Wolverine movie, but that thing was such a massive CF that everyone pretends it never happened.
