No, I watched them because they were on locally but was never a fan. I could name about 4-5 of their players but couldn't tell you if/when they were ever in the playoffs.
Lol @ Bengal fans trying to guilt us over regional affiliation. No thanks we're good either hating the NFL or cheering for a team that actually wins in a different area of the country.

There were no Cincinnati Bengals prior to 1968. So it's not like you followed them because it was your Dad's team or papaw's team like UK or the Reds. If you grow up a 100+ miles from Cincy in KY and never saw the expansion Bengals on TV, why wouldn't you become a fan of the Steelers, Cowboys, Raiders or other dominant teams of that era.
It's not the picking part, it's the living and dying with a team you have no connection to other than you randomly picked them a long time ago.
If you get as upset when YOUR Steelers/Cowboys/Bulls/etc lose as you do at a UK loss, you're loser. Pretty simple, really

Western Kentucky is full of Cowboys, Steelers, and Packers fans, as well as geographically correct Rams, Titans, and Bears fans. Had the Cardinals stayed in St. Louis during my formative years I would likely have a strong emotional attachment to that franchise. When the Rams moved I was a senior in high school. Too late. By then it was UK athletics and Cards baseball, and that's how it will always be. I "rooted" for the Rams, but nothing like UK or the Cards.
I don't think you've ever seen one gyero Steeler fan get upset when they lose, regular season or playoffs.
Also, :thumbsdown: to the Reds baseball and Steelers football fan. As bad as the UK basketball and UT football fan.

Phoenix Suns (by fan I mean I follow them on Twitter, too lazy to find their games on fox sports southwest) and that's only because I'm super gay for Devin booker
It's a healthy lifestyle choice. Being a fan of the cats means I suffer enough, because the football team is soul crushing and the basketball team makes me want to die every March. Sports are hard and awful
