Was shovelling for people from 12-930 Saturday. Had some people quit, and the snowblower quit working so I ended up doing it all by myself. Awful....as sore as I've ever been from anything. Fortunately I've got a few days worth of PVA stuff to do for work which can be done from here so movement is minimalized. Hate being stuck in the house though...starts to feel like jail after a couple days. Got out for a bit yesterday to drop some marketing materials off and it took about 3x as long as it should have. At this point I'm convinced that half of my muscles are flat out torn.

Hoping the Nats can be a contender this year. Dude is totally miserable to be around when he's losing, as I can imagine. Dusty has been trying to get him since he managed the reds, not sure whether that's a good or bad thing.

Need to buy a new snowblower...recs? Would like to keep it under 400 #poor

Not that one, the dynamic version that does the hybrid uncle bonz dance.

* Hopcat for the first time Saturday. Great location to Rupp and the causeway that took us over Main St was much needed with the sidewalk shitshow and something I wouldn't expect from that town.

Usually not a fan of an IPA / Crafty only saloon, especially when they don't even offer the True Pilsner (5 time gold medal American beer winner for a reason kids).....

I stand corrected...the Cougar Bait was more than passable for this uninitiated palate and the tater tots on steroids were worth the price of admission alone.

TV's everywhere, great playlist of classic 80's coupled with the fact we were waited on by hipster bartenders that surely would have made Richie's pocket square ruffle, made it a solid pre-game spot.

Prefer gas, don't want to fool with a wire.

The rest? No clue what that means. It will be used for 8-10 diff driveways everytime it snows enough here(Lexington so maybe 2-3 times a year). I'm fine if its not super powerful or fast I just want the GD thing to work so I don't end up shovelling for 9 hours again. Would like it to get as close to the ground as possible. Also, the smaller the better...I would prefer it fit in my sedan but that's not make or break. Can always stick it in the trunk and tie it down. TiA.

Tuesday Shorts:

- So, would you rather be going into Saturday with Kansas reeling or playing great ball?

- We actually match up pretty well with the Jayhawks. Our guards should be able to contain theirs and able to drive on them. Poythress should be able to handle Ellis better than most and their other bigs can't hurt us.

- BUT...that crowd and the way they bomb 3s at AFH is concerning.

- I wonder if Coach K made his bed and should now lie in it. Pat?

- That's it- I'm DONE with the CBS CBB podcast! If it isn't Parrish stammering and blabbing on and on, it's Vecine saying **** like Tom Crean should be Big 10 COY over McCaffrey because his team has improved more this season. Say whaaaa? Indiana started out Top 10 before falling out of the rankings completely before a soft early B10 schedule gave them life. Iowa was unranked and is now an NCAA 1-seed.

- Dommy Hawkins cannot catch a break this season.

- I would love to see Boogie Cousins on a contender. Just once.

- Has it really been 10 years since Tubby took us to slaughter in Lawrence? I was FUMING that game.

- Benicio del Toro has never let me down.

- :scream: Lil Selena Gomez has sure grown up. Wow. That girl is poison.

I can't do IPAs, but as long as I have seasonals, ales, lagers, wheats, I'm good. Of course, I don't like pounding crafties all night either. Give me some High Life or Hudy Delight as an option.

I do not like going in there with them having lost 3 of 5. This all the sudden turned into a bigger game than it already was confidence and seeding wise for them.

But Ludivine kept running despite her distractions and eventually finished just behind Horvath who ran 1:32 for sixth place. Once Ludivine crossed the line, she slowed to a walk. Volunteers, apparently in awe of the spectacle, put a medal around her neck and started taking photos, Horvath said.

Which was more eye opening on just how far we had fallen into mediocrity; that game or the Memphis game the following year in Maui?

Lol at the Warriors. Steph with 37 through 3 quarters & sat the 4th. Guess they didn't feel like winning by 50.

-Cousins is the best center in the league, and it's not close. 52 & 16. o_O Wonder if he'll make the All Star Team? [eyeroll]

I watched the first three quarters of that one. San Antonio had no answer for how ragged Golden State made the game. And not even Leonard could keep up with Curry. A bigger problem for them, though, might be that they have nowhere to hide Parker defensively. He's a liability no matter who he's matched up with.

I went on a run a little after halftime of Tubby's last game versus KU. I knew we were going to lose, but as i ran, i always had some hope i would hear cheers from the people gathered in homes to watch the game. They didn't come. Think i finished a few Tubby years not in my home watching our last game, took off in my car to smoke and listen to it on the radio a couple other times. Sports are very cruel and should not mean as much as they do.

Yep. Happy he's going in the Rafters, it's the right call.

He's got a pretty good team this year, btw. Likely tourney bound, which is a small miracle after the mass exodus he faced early there, even after cleaning up the BCG mess...I thought he'd be gone by now.

The KU game was worse to me. Just kind of a "know your role" type situaish from an alleged peer.

Hey this is fun! Anyone have any lingering thoughts on the Wisconsin game?

Really smart decision for Diallo to ink with Kansas. Last two games he has certainly hit his stride...

vs Texas-DNP
Vs Iowa State 4 min- 0 points, 0 rebounds, 0 blocks

What I remember about the Memphis game was that, afterwards, Cal seemed completely unimpressed with the win or his team. We were just another W. That hurt, man.

Have to wonder if/when the way Self handles his freshman is going to catch up to him...

Diallo/Bragg are actually pretty normal situations with him, with some exceptions.

* If Tubby was still here with John Calipari as his recruiting coordinator, SAE as his fashion consultant and Anth and his Tour De France app as his fitness/nutrition guru, we would have at least 19 titles by now. At least.

And that is being conservative.

* So, some of you guys don't think Kansas was going to try very hard against us, but now that they have lost a couple… look out?

I hope we don't give them any bulletin board material, then they really might try hard.

* Went to bed at 8:00 last night and slept until 7. Almost back to normal.

* So, my goldfish were pretty much in a frozen block of ice. Heater finally showed up plus the weather warmed up… today the little touchers are swimming around like Joshie in BonzoNation.

That's what worries me about polar ice caps melting. Who knows what prehistoric virus or bacteria are currently trapped in ice?

There's a reason most coaches don't like freshmen- they're erratic, don't know how to play and are a pain in the *** to coach. BUT...a guy like Calipari embraces it and gives his freshmen every opportunity to grow. That's where he's different than most.

Self is a terrific coach, but if you're a OAD talent, I don't see why you'd ever pick Kansas over Kentucky. I understand Duke, but not Kansas. Diallo would be getting almost 20mpg here just for his shotblocking prowess.

03-05 were good fun teams. Should have went to the final 4 in 05 then again not sure how well that UNC match up would have gone.

Nope.

But if you've ever seen Bone Tomahawk, and how the Deputy was killed by the Indians in their cave, then you'll get a small sampling of how I felt after the West Virginia game.

IU finally has at least a test tonight in Madison, albeit against an 11-9 NIT team. Line is IU -2, hmm...
