Outside of the 3 turnovers in 4 plays, we looked almost mediocre on offense.

Last year, we steamrolled Ohio 41-6, the eventual MAC champions who finished 11-3.
This year, we struggled mightily against projected MAC champion Toledo.
Albeit based on only one game, we have arguably regressed. Tired of Porky Stupes and his even dimmer-witted sidekick Shrub Hamdan.

Oline looked decent. Protected qb but receivers or qb were wanting. Started to gain momentum running and went away from it

This QB we are running out there may prove to be the best option. However, I have got to question just how good is a 7th year college QB that ended up at UK?
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, Stoops’ biggest failure to move the program along has been his inability to develop any QB’s. You just can’t bring in a new guy every year or two and build anything. He lost his was about 3 years ago, tried being something he isn’t and it backfired. We have absolutely no identity on the offensive side and it’s going be glaring as we move into conference play.
Matt Jones took some extreme liberties with a possibly apocryphal (but almost certainly true) story relayed to him by the text machine. Uh, per a friend.
edit: first time using this site since the switch over. Never used this screen name before but apparently registered it half a lifetime ago to my throwaway (ie AOL) email address. I used to be a swimmer, I may have learned how to edit the text on a programmable road sign across the street recently, that is all.
