So, the consensus seems to be that unless Stoops is willing to restructure the buyout, not in terms of the amount but the time period over which it is paid, we're probably looking at three more years of him, minimum.
Our only hope appears to be if that giant zit that was on Stupes' face gets infected and devours his head. Otherwise, we're f*cked to beyond irrelevance.

-There is a slight difference between Stoops and Cal. Stoops was just going to leave. May have reconsidered for a minute when
his tribe balked at going to College Station but the TAMU faithful revolt nipped it in the bud anyway. Cal was just using Arkansas to bilk us for more money and Mitch finally developed a nutsack. Don't think Mitch really wanted to end it with Stoops that way anyway so I can't really blame him in that instance. In hindsight, it was the wrong decision but 20/20 and whatnot.
-Some more impactful differences were that Cal didn’t notify Mitch he was talking to Arky which was a breach of contract.

-And Stoops hadn’t signed a contract with A&M yet which kinda got us stuck with him contractually.

1. MLB Playoffs
2. NFL Playoffs
3. NHL Playoffs
4. NBA Playoffs

Today's a good day.

Oh, I like this. I'd go :

NHL
MLB
NFL
NBA

Something about hockey and baseball postseasons are just magical. Baseball has so many inconsequential games and moments because there are so many games during the year and then every single pitch matters as soon as September rolls into October. There's an uncanny tension in the stands and everyone is connected.

Hockey, for a similar reason, has an entire different unwritten ruleset in the playoffs and the intensity that ramps up in the playoffs. These guys are absolutely wrecked by the end of the season and out there going 110% all game.

MLB - as mentioned. Live and die with every pitch/swing. Ace v. Ace.
NFL - one game, no series, win or go home.
NHL - probably would be 1st if I grew up cheering for a hockey team.
NBA - Just too damn long. But when it’s a close game at the end of a series, it is spectacular.

Having the Reds (or insert your team) in the playoffs and actually having meaningful games in September, there’s nothing like it. Knowing my dad is excited about it, at a stage in life where not much pleases him, is extra special.

Go Redlegs.

Go Cubs Go

Hey Chicago what’ya say!!

Cubs are gonna win today!!!!

I'm really hoping we exercise the ghost of 84 with the Padres. A young AW was pretty devastated when that ball went through The Bull’s legs and I still hate Steve Garvey to this day.

My mom had a pretty bad fall and has to be in a rehab facility for a while. It's been pretty tough on my dad, so I decided to fly down where they are and do a surprise visit. I was sitting in my mom's room when my dad walked in completely unaware I was coming. He didn't say hello. He just looked at me for a second and then said, "We have GOT to get rid of Mitch (Barnhart). What a dork."

1.) Joker
2.) Billy G
3.) Having to have a committee basically hire Cal because everyone knows your incompetent
4.) Cals contract
5.) Piglets contract

It isnt the bad hires OR absolutely screwing your employer by basically letting the coach's agent write their contract but its the combination of the two.

but hey at least womens volleyball is rockin and rollin

Reminiscent of my all-time favorite Seinfeld scene - Steinbrenner showing up to tell the Costanzas George was dead, to which Frank responds, “Why the hell yoy’d trace Buhner? He had 31 homers and a rocket for an arm. You don’t know what the hell you’re doing.” 😂

Hope your mom recovers quickly, buddy.

Cousin and I got a wild hair and booked a last minute trip to LA when the Reds clinched. We were there for less than 24 hours, but it was incredible. Had never been to Dodger Stadium or an MLB playoff game. Amazing environment. Fans were cool and loved seeing Cincinnati fans that made the trip.

Maybe we'll stop tipping pitches in 2026!

This Riyadh comedy festival is pretty annoying. Dave Chappelle ranting that he's freer to speak in Saudi Arabia than America while we know all of the comedians jokes were vetted by the crown prince is an awful look.

Also pissed to see guys like Bill Burr, Jimmy Carr and Jim Jeffries there.

The GOAT Shane Gillis refused the offer stating "Aren't those the guys who did 9/11" and Tim Dillon was uninvited because he said the $375k was almost enough to look the other way on slavery.

All that, coupled with Theo Von apparently bombing out of his recent special (never been a fan of his stand up) and Marc Maron declaring war on the Rogan sphere is making for a weird dynamic in the comedy world.

Comedy is in a bad place right now.

maybe the clown, or whoever it is around here that does standup, can save it.
