Understood. I just wonder how it will look for those 7 players that don't get to play next year. If they don't get to play (especially the current sophomores) will they transfer? And if they do, do they take any of the freshman with them? Or do you think the freshman will be good enough to play on the varsity level and be competitive in a couple games next year?

I have ask before and got no response. What about the JV players this year that have done (Lettered) as a varsity player. Can they go back down this year to JV? And if not, do you really think they'll be back next year?

The NW on the other hand would only have 4 teams if the N Stokes and Prep folding happens. It would be MA, East, South, and Bishop. It'd be a nightmare to find non conference teams due to many conferences being full. WPAC only had 5 dates while MVAC has 4. They'd have to play all kinds of off the wall schools. Well maybe on the brightside you could get a MA and Reidsville matchup every year perhaps or East vs. Reidsville.

It's interesting to think the NW could have been a 2A/1A mix again with all the Stokes and Surry (sans Elkin,) schools. All 7 schools were for it but it never had a chance to work out. Instead we are all stuck where we are at.

The next alignment in 2020's going to be a watershed one like 1967 was when the NW was created; or 1985 when it went 2A, or 1997 when it went 1A and the MVAC started.
There could be a lot of changes, but as to what I'm not sure yet. It's still a term away but I wouldn't be surprised.

I think both will play next year though. Prep has some talented kids off the JV team from last year and they will be a year older; N Stokes is really 2 years from being competitive every game but if they play the right teams next year (SD, Patrick still,) they could snag a win. They just gotta keep working and not give up. I don't think anyone wants them to fold for good I sure don't.
I can't see any 1a school wanting to play Reidsville nonconference. That could get ugly considering they are beating 4a schools handily.
