Who Remembers Ricky stating: "traditional point guards are done and don't exist anymore",,, positionless basketball is how we will play. Hmnn!!! Interesting comments yesterday after UK loss:: After pg Lowe torched them " We don't have someone like that, " That's our faults as a "staff" (another hmnn!) for not having a big time point guard to make people better" See Post article. 'We lost out on four or five big time point guards in recruiting'. How could that happen with "waterBoy's" funding. Johnnies beaten by teams with Legitimate PGs: Pettiford, Philon, and Lowe.

Man is truly a hall of Famer but with that comes his art of total BS. A good team but I'll take our's and what Sha has done to find a wonderful point guard without massive funding.

Johnnies are a good team but , I like the way we play much more.

“Positionless basketball” aka what is ruining basketball in general. Along with 3 point shoutouts.

All that term means is that whoever has the ball gets to go 1 on 1 because they believe that player is supremely talented.

It works in rare circumstances. Jokic, Giannis, younger LeBron, Magic.

Nowadays anybody who is 6’7” and above is given the term point forward or point center if they have the slightest dribbling and shooting ability.

I remember when Pitino was saying he didn’t need a real point guard and all that BS. I posted immediately that he didn’t have a point guard that he had confidence in. SJ will be fine most games in the BE but it will catch up to him in the NCAAT.

Agree , they will win their share but it's already caught up with them. Curious what that team c cost this year

Agree with ruining the game,,,, and that's fine but Ricky doesn't have a Dream team and he back peddled yesterday

I really doubt Clarke will end up at SJU. For me NC State, USC, and Providence all had more cohesive offensive teams than what SJU has displayed so far. Seton Hall's offense looks more like what SJU has looked like in the past. The first half of SJU vs Kentucky looked like teams stuck in the mud. Give Kentucky's athleticism one of the reasons for the SJU scoring output, but they also missed shot after shot. Maybe Pitino can fix it.

They started moving the ball, starts with PG and then they blew em out . It wasn't that close until Slick started calling stupid time outs with a minute and a half to go and Bryce hits his useless 3 pointer. Really it was ludicrous on Pitono's part to prolong it with his timeouts.

I like our team and our coach

Johnnies got Kentucky Fried on the boards, and Hopkins from Providence who they paid something like $1.2 million for, or so it's reported, had 3 rebounds while he was hoisting 3s in exhibition for NBA hopes.

Yep changed when they brought Lowe back in in the second half.
