Guys, the school is boosting their NIL with funds that they do not have and are being taken from other needed areas. We don't have the money for any more hires.

Unfortunately it’s the same thing at just about every power conference school. Kansas athletic dept. projected to run at 15M deficit next year.

I look at these rosters playing tonight. It’s hard to compare cause they all mostly have the money we don’t, but even with all the buying with NIl, teams like Purdue still have a semblance of continuity though they are at an advanrage being a bigger school.

Still schools like Iowa and Nebraska seem to have a good mix of long term to transfers.

We need to prove we can just have some continuity.

I do think keeping your best young prospect is huge like in the nba, but if Hines leaves, if we can keep Clark, Parker, Simpkins, and Dar that can still be decently competitive, at least better than our 2024-2025 roster.

Honestly if Hines is beyond our reach, it can possibly let us retain all of the other four guys I mentioned that probably wouldn’t happen, if we signed Hines and Clark.

I'm good with keeping all the guys you mentioned, but the only one we should pay any sort of significant NIL for is Budd Clark. Like Simpkins (actually shot the ball well). Like the other two as depth pieces. But those 3 are all replaceable given their profiles. Of course all things being equal I take back the guys who played for Sha already.

I continue to be surprised(?) at this board's infatuation with a Whitehead role at Seton Hall. (What is he doing now?) Reminds to a lesser degree with the frequency in the past that Toney-el's name surfaced.

Everyone can relax on the countdown part. It’s just his birthday lol.
I mean, of course it is.

Not that I knew, either, but this just follows the perpetual pattern of this board (and every other one) trying to glean intel from players' socials and always being wrong.

I think this is a unique case. Hines probably has the most potential of any player who's ever played at Seton Hall besides Eddie Griffin. I enjoyed watching him play but it was fairly obvious from the beginning that he'd only be here for 1 year.
Early on, it looked [to me] that Hines was treating his late decision to come to the Hall as a prep school post grad year.
My question: did Shaheen also see/know this, and is the reason he didn't play (or develop) him more?

I don't know if doctorcb12 is being funny or not, but the countdown could not have been his birthday. He was born on New Year's Day.
