concussion protocol doesn't elicit the response sha had last time.

either way, he's a massive loss but wondering if this isn't a big men's game tonight anyway

On the postgame with Cohen and Popkin, Shaheen’s answer made it seem (at least to me) like Hines’ return is out of his (Holloway’s) hands. It feels to me like a concussion is the obvious answer.

I’m guessing Holloway’s comment after the Providence game (about telling the story another time) relates to how Hines got the injury, and we fans read way too much into it.

As I posted elsewhere, highly unlikely a concussion when you gave him in a loud brightly lit arena

Given that all of these players are transferring all the time, "academically ineligible " seems to be a thing of the past.

They clearly are not actually working towards a degree (most of them, not all), but they have to at least achieve a minimum number of credits each semester in order to play. That is still true.

Shuttle is 100% correct.

Student athletes need to complete a minimum of 12 credits each semester to participate. That is why athletes need to take 15+ credits each semester, if they flub a class.

I have not been critical of Holloway all year. How could you be with the results to date?

But here for whatever reason I have no idea why he simply cannot say what happened and why Hines is out. He is the one causing the speculation and that does no one any good.

It's bizarre, but he's always been like this. And if he thinks he's doing the team a favor by having this lure of Hines play dominate opposing coach's thinking and game planning, uh, not a thing.

Hines is looking at a 2 million dollar payday next year. If he has any form of injury his camp is likely to tell him to sit, regardless of the severity.

Seems like the past concussion issues, and commenting on them caused problems

It's not crazy to be in protocol and tabled for 5 days while they have 2 games. And not having a single practice with contact during that time. Sounds like he got back on the court on Monday but without contact.

If he doesn't play at Marquette on Tuesday after another week off...
