No worries, just ribbing you. Honestly, the play has been so frustrating in games that should be winnable that I could hardly blame you, even if wasn't an accident.
What is horrible are these refs . Just like the Uconn game we have to beat not only the team but the refs.
So help me understand. We barely beat a bottom feeder team that was without their top player and highest scorer in the conference and I’m supposed to eat crow because I said we were painful to watch? When did you start following college basketball, last night?

Not sure I remember a season where the officiating was consistently so one sided against us.
20 wins, first round bye in the Big East tournament and top 5 in the league when voted last. Did I miss anything?
We definitely didn’t play well tonight but I also didn’t think we played horrible. We probably lose if Carroll plays though
You actually stated they were “awful.” Maybe hard to watch but not awful.
No way. Remember Carroll is awful defensively.

I’ll say it again. This team is difficult to watch. We played a horrible first half tonight (as we have over and over this year). We were losing at the half, without their best player (did I mention that earlier??)
We lost TWICE to Butler. We were humiliated on our home court by Villanova. We shot a record breaking 0-18 from 3 in a game.
They were awful in the first half which is when I posted. Put the Pom Poms down.
Actually we were winning at halftime.
It’s college bball. We are decent in a down league. Johnnies barely got by G’town. Enjoy the wins. Don’t dwell.
We’ve had some bad games this year. By no means were we “awful” at any point tonight. Perhaps defensively for a stretch in the second half, but we corrected that before it was too late.
How many mistakes can one post contain?
I'll take our chances with DePaul.....we should come out with REVENGE

So why do you subject yourself to watching? There are plenty of other viewing options. You'll be doing a great favor for yourself (and us too).
I’ve been a season ticket holder since 1984 and never miss a game. I went to the prep and the university. I donate to NIL. I’ll say what I think and don’t need your permission.

Guys, we know what we are. Basically a top 50 team as noted on Kenpom and the NET. And with the eye test too.
That's certainly not horrible, but it's also not a long term goal. We want better.
But why can't we just enjoy the season as it has clearly surpassed by a wide margin what was expected? Instead many want to diminish the accomplishment with criticism. The same people who in the preseason were posting we would be lucky to get 3-4-5 wins in the league.
Seton75 and myself predicted we would win 8 games in conference and were by far in the minority, and yet the team has surpassed that figure with a game to go.

Well said and when we did lose to UConn and St Johns, top 10/20 ranked teams the games were exciting and competitive. We were not embarrassed at all. We should all be proud of this team and the season they have so far! What a turnaround from last year!

Our offensive efficiency last night was better than most nights, particularly in the second half.
Will there be an asterisk next to the result of the SJU game on Friday if Clark is half speed and Hines is out?

As a fellow Prep grad...you're an embarrassment.
Any time you win the 2nd game of a 2 game road trip is not to be discounted. We could have easily come out flat in this game after the disappointing loss to UCONN (see first Butler game). We went 5-5 on the road this season and easily could have won at St John's, Creighton and UCONN. There is no way to discredit the job Sha did this year. Is he perfect....no. Is he the best coach for the Pirates.....yes and it is not close.
The one thing I'll say about this team this year is that they played hard in every game. The only exception would maybe the Butler home game. Other than that, the effort was consistently there even when things were not going well. For that, I am very appreciative.
