I misspoke I was talking about the Gator Bowl in Jacksonville. Extremely hot - just not football weather. I’m not saying Yankee Stadium is a preferred venue, I just prefer watching football with a coat and hat on and not shorts and a tee shirts sweating my a$$ off.
You misspoke again. It not going to be hot for the Gator Bowl. 58 degrees. It's not forecast to break above 70 more then once in the next 10 days. Most days in the 60s, perfect weather to watch a bowl game.

It was in the 70s for the tailgate and at kickoff, hit a high of 81 and back in the 70s. Seriously? Sign me up.
Dude it was my opinion I would rather watch football in the cold weather rather than sweating my *** off, which I was at that game.

Personally- I’m not sure why you would be attacked for your own opinion.
Yesterday morning when it was about 40* out, guy comes into Starbucks with shorts, short sleeves and flip flops.
I had a coat…
No different
But, if you had the choice for you and team, doesn’t 3 hours in the sun and 3 days of fun still beat out- traffic and your 3 hours in the cold with nothing else?

Attacked?? Ok drama queen. In the end you are agreeing with me that Florida is better then a trip to the Bronx.

Why an 8 ticket limit through the school?
If you had a larger group, could you call the ticket office directly and arrange it?

Just curious on why the limit.
The limit probably has to do more with priority points and seating people together. If you had no limit, you would have some people with five tickets (me) buy 35 seats with their points pushing others back. I understand the limit, but it doesn't work for our group. Previously, they did allow one ticket holder to buy all the tickets to bowl games. It seems like they changed this.

We bought 35 seats so I needed five of our group to buy seats if we went through Rutgers. The coordination and my lack of trust in RU ticket office, led us to buy them through Ticketmaster. We picked our seats and had them immediately.

I would have went to any of the bowls, played some golf and had a blast. I just like watching football in the cold (within reason I’m not a masicist). I like the November games more than the early September ones.

The B1G was affiliated with the Holiday Bowl up to a couple of years ago. My son and I saw Wisconsin beat USC there in 2016. Even this game gets played in a baseball stadium now - Petco Park.
The difference is, the new Petco Park was designed with football in mind - almost like it was built for it, I think they had the idea of a possible landing spot for the Chargers when they left their crumbling stadium. Versus Yankee Stadium, which seemed to have no foresight or planning yet is the home of NYCFC soccer and the Pinstripe, and seemed to have just laid a football field down and was like “ok, it fits”

In fact, even worse than the football viewing lines is the soccer field, sit behind home plate and be 300 ft from the center of the field

100’s /200’s - selling very well (RU side)
Delta Club - SOLD OUT (RU)
Audi Club - SOLD OUT (RU)
LF bleachers - SOLD OUT (RU)
300’s - on sale about 48-hours or so
Good news. I caved on my steadfast refusal to attend another football game in a baseball stadium.

Yeah, I rented a helicopter and we secured FAA clearance to watch it from a hover altitude of 750 feet. That actually gets me closer to the action than people sitting in front row seats on the 50 yard line. 😉

You know I'm gonna get you to laugh at one of my pinstripe put-down posts. You'll see. Just a matter of time. 😀

Petco for the Chargers? Designed with football in mind?

Thats as ill informed and wrong a post as I have seen. There was never ever an inkling or thought that NFL Chargers could play in Petco. It was not DESIGNED with football in mind. it was never even floated a new downtown stadium was the discussion Never Petco. it serves a reduced capacity bowl game baseball stadium one off like yankee wrigley etc

My opinion only, but regardless of fans' feelings toward the Pinstripe Bowl, I don't think the B1G is going to "give up" a post season game in the #1 market in the United States.
It will drop it if it can be replaced with a better bowl.
The #1 market has no bearing when the local market has absolutely no interest in attending this game.
It’s a one and done with the B1G fanbases. Might be RIP in the future.

From the guy who said "it's gonna be done after 1 year"...."it's gonna be done after year 2"....."it won't last 5 years...."....lol sorry, gotta bust your balls!

It's not gonna be dropped and here's why:

- there are already 2 games below it in the pecking order and
- we're adding FOUR teams to the conference

Let's see.
There would be the usual debbie downer and argument inducing posts.
Then the guy who mocks in every weather thread.
Then the guys like me who would try to class it up and divert it into a discussion on snow blowers.
Lather, rinse, repeat.
I am going to let you finish but Beyoncé had the best snow blower of all time.

IIRC you were also belittlIng this Bowl in its early days before RU joined the B1G.
Now all of sudden it’s a destination fans want ????
As the B1G acquires Bowl Games from the PAC 10 this Bowl will move further down the pecking order.
Would love to see the attendance when Rutgers or Penn St. isn’t playing…. Declines are imminent.
one and done.

You've said this before and it's simply not true buddy. You're definitely thinking of somebody else. never "loved" it but just don't see the need to ***** incessantly about it when it's OUT OF OUR CONTROL. It is what it is. Period.

Good to see fans are going. Just about every fan (almost all season ticket holders) that I know, are not going.

I think they closed off several rows of the 300 level RU tickets. Sales don’t appear to be going well.
Oh PLEASE SHOW YOUR WORK ya' ******* lunatic You do realize you're not fooling anyone, EVER, right?

***I'm looking at the seating map on Ticketmaster as we speak. There have been ZERO "rows of the 300 level RU tickets" "closed off." As a matter of fact looking at the seating map MAGNIFIED (so you can look at individual rows and see exactly which seats are still available), it looks like we've sold a little more than HALF of the 300's available to us already.
