I wouldn’t count on either. You still need a ton of teams ahead to lose before you can climb too much. Which is okay. Just keep winning.
Butler was blown out tonight. The Big East is sadly very weak, which may benefit us greatly this year. Even St Johns needs to prove itself at this point.
Only UConn with three and Seton Hall have wins over a top 25 team.

And unfortunately the team in the top 25 that lost today is the one you didn’t want to. #24 USC took their first loss.
Didn’t see that part. 26 point turnaround on your home court is a big let down.
Also noticed Rodney Rice is still out with the injury he sustained vs us.
Not sure how many votes. After the St. John’s game there’s an argument for us being top 2 in the BE. I don’t think that’s a crazy statement.
Gotta commend Sha on his roster construction with minimal NIL. Deserving of a big extension. I was a big on pushing a GM, but if Sha can keep this up I’ll stop complaining-can’t lie.

I bet the refs didn't call the game so they could shoot 38 FTs, 20 more than their opponent!!
Butler lost to a Boise st team which finished 7th in Maui
Yet they are double digits ahead of us in kenpom

Reality check. Great record but we have not beaten a top 20 team. We don't belong ranked yet. NC Sate and Kansas State were nice wins but these are not very good teams. If we are really good and should be ranked it will be by beating UConn and St Johns. At least split with them. And take care of business with the rest of the BE.

Their starting PG is hurt and missed the Boise game. We’d be a very diff team without Budd.
I do think we are better than Butler, but it’s close.
That has nothing to do with my thoughts. It's for information and discussion on this site.
I am not a fan of metrics anywhere. I know it will never happen but I have more trust in the eye test. But that being the case I doubt any of us here see all the games and that's where the Pomeroy type sites come him.
I have no doubt that I have more confidence in my opinion about the Big East than his data. But for the rest of college BB, not even close.
Guy who votes from Connecticut has shu ranked 19 in his poll.. think it’s going to be regional.. shu will get the east coast voters voting for them, but nationally will be a struggle…See what happens
