He surely made Thomasville take notice in that STATE CHAMPIONSHIP game in '68. Saw it way too close and personal.
Huss fumbles ensuring kickoff return and Shelby recovers. Shelby tosses td on 3rd down again for 34-19 lead. Shelby has scored 3tds off Huss turnovers. Huss has scored on 3td passes to Nez Barnette.
TD Huss on 14yd run. PAT good. Huss is dominating the 3rd quarter so far on both sides of ball. Huss recovers onsides kick and has ball again.
Huss scores again. Shelby seems to be out of sorts as the Huskies are rolling now. 34-33 Shelby.
Whether or not Huss wins or not, this is another loss for South Point.
I agree that Huss definitely not getting in breaks from officials in this game lol.
Not sure that I can connect the dots. How does this make SP look bad.
OK. We saw both this year and they are both good teams. Nice to see HH representing Gaston County well against such a great team as Shelby.
Shelby scores td to go up 48-33 after stopping Huss. I believe this one is pretty much over. The loss of Carson due to ejection has been a huge loss for Huss. Carson was ejected due to two personal fouls for targeting I believe(not certain). Carson has at least 5 returns for td's along with being probably their top cover corner.
SP has had the easiest road to the western finals than any team that I can remember ever in 3A.
Survive and advance against an extremely talented Huss team ! Great coverage on a couple of their td passes and their receivers made outstanding plays to go up make catch and score !! Very very good ball club!!
Congrats to Shelby. Truck Sims saved the day for the Lions after going out with injury and returning. Sims showed a champion's heart.

Lol I am not a Huss coach. I do know a few of them however. I also know a couple of the Shelby coaches so it's all good. I have nothing but respect for the Shelby program. Shelby is the gold standard in my opinion but that doesn't mean I pull for them.(except when one of my nephews played there a couple years ago).
Tough hard fought victory for the Lions. Huss was a great team, very athletic. Nez Barnett is a fantastic receiver, I hope he gets an opportunity to play at the next level. Crawford was impressive, they should be in the thick of it next season in 3A, with many of their athletes returning.
As for the Lions, we earned it the hard way tonight, and showed the heart of a champion versus a quality opponent. Fans from both sides had a lot to be proud of tonight. The young man from both teams left it all on the field tonight. This was an exciting, action packed game, I am glad that I took off from work tonight to watch it.

I posted before, if Shelby lost to Huss or lose to Monroe you still keep your record of not having lost to a 2A school

Your credibility is good w/ me, but I see the young man often, he's humbled beyond words, he has a job, and he works out w/ his brother at the Y to stay fit, just ran into him at the Y last week. He has a good support system, and he's determined to break Shelby's career rushing record, which he says he's 1900 yards away from doing so. He made a mistake as many young people do, as we did in our youth. That was a very insensitive comment that clown posted, and considering things y'all have swept under the rug, and things that has happened over there the last two or three years, that clown had some nerve even going there. I suggest we end any further discussion on this topic.
