Reflected back on the game on Borders' catch and run touchdown. He outran several athletic Huss defenders who had an angle on him. Couldn't help thinking about how he was "under recruited", particularly in the ACC. Don't get me wrong, ECU was a great option, but still couldn't help thinking why he was so slept on by the ACC. I know the biggest reason was probably his size, but that young man has all the other the attributes.... running, jumping, agility.

For sure, Borders should do great thing at ECU. Anyone know what happened with Wright at Marshall? I'm guessing he red-shirted? Shelby hasn't had too many FBS receivers in school history, and these two played at the same time.

Wright didn't make trip to Marshall I heard but not reasons ... also heard he would possibly end up at ECU eventually but don't know if that's true either

I'm probably dead wrong and spreading rumors , not intentional just what I've heard recently , not sure on accuracy at all

I am also surprised that none of the instate ACC schools offered Borders. Really surprised. I thought the instate schools would be all over him. I seen Borders at a football camp and I honestly thought that he was one of the best receivers there among those that had offers already. I know that many of the bigger schools are looking for the tall outside receivers nowadays but I feel that Borders can play in the slot and do some serious damage. Also some of the bigger schools will hold schollys back to see how recruiting shakes out first. Sometimes it better to take the sure thing than waiting on a bigger school that hasn't made you a priority. No matter where he attends school if you are able to attend for free playing a sport that you love than that is a good deal in my book.
