Haha best post you've ever had.luck is part of the game. no one here wants to contemplate riding your grandma i’m sure, except probably Fieldhouse Al.
Don't disagree with this at all!Iowa consistently has good to very good OL play. For all of the criticism their OC receives, they actually throw the ball to their TEs and sustain enough drives to keep their defense from wearing out. It remains to be seen if RU can achieve that on the offensive side of the ball. The potential for a good OL is there with Flaherty. The jury's out on the coaching of the QB position and the passing game.
MSU used the same kickoff alignment for the previous kickoffpunter dropped the snap for a TD and they didnt have returner for the pooch kickoff. if either one of those 4th qtr lucky breaks didnt happen we would be 5-6.
Likewise dude. Your act is just as oldLol whatever. If Gavin throws 30 passes today and we lose by 40 (which would probably happen) you'd be the same idiot saying how we can't even keep the score close against these teams. And how Gavin sucks blah blah blah.. **** gets so old with you types.
Can’t win if you are not close right? It’s hard to watch the offense and not think (a) they‘re deliberately playing to lose closely vs. trying to win, or (b) they have no idea what they’re doing.
It is because Top 25 teams are much better capitalized and resourced than we are. You're right, competing and expecting a top 25 win once a decade is expecting the moon. What am I thinking?![]()
you are also a poster that doesn't believe in "ifs" when we lose. Can't have it both ways.punter dropped the snap for a TD and they didnt have returner for the pooch kickoff. if either one of those 4th qtr lucky breaks didnt happen we would be 5-6.
Your description is the essence of being lucky.MSU used the same kickoff alignment for the previous kickoff
…which was just stupid
It was not a lucky break there…
That’s silly. Of course it was lucky for RU that MSU didn’t see the obvious. I said before the previous RU kickoff into the same alignment they should have done it then.MSU used the same kickoff alignment for the previous kickoff
The announcers even mentioned it, stating MSU probably worrying about an onsides kick, so they had more on the line, almost no one back, which was just stupid
It was not a lucky break there
We took advantage of an alignment of theirs, plain and simple. A coaching mistake. I even saw it in the previous kickoff and called it
In no way a lucky break
No it isn'tYour description is the essence of being lucky.
tOSU playing a 10 man ND team at the end was lucky.
GT beating Miami because they don’t take a knee is luck (needed additional luck in that one).
Nothing wrong with taking advantage of potential outcome changing luck. Some teams blow that opportunity.
I don't consider it lucky If the head coach had the same alignment twiceThat’s silly. Of course it was lucky for RU that MSU didn’t see the obvious. I said before the previous RU kickoff into the same alignment they should have done it then.
I remember just before half during 1.0’s 80-7 loss at WVU Schiano had everyone lined up to block a WVU punt. Seeing no one out wide on the punt team wideout, the punter threw him the easiest TD pass of all time. No defenders anywhere. Stupid for one team is luck for the other.
MSU’s blunder on the pooch kick after the other blunder were both lucky for RU, and allowed RU to come back from 18 down late for the win. I bet the probability of a Rutgers win down 18 in the 4th was less than 2 %. Impossible without a lot of luck.
And RU made plays to capitalize, to their credit. A win is a win.
But without those lucky breaks, more than likely no bowl this year.
Oh.. you "remember that" do you?...

Ridiculous post implying the games weren't close. All three games were one score games early in the 4Q. If you don't see the progress made vs. previous years, you're delusional.0-3 vs 3 ranked teams in the last 3 weeks and outscored 85-22. Only difference this year is the easy early schedule got us to a bowl and we didn’t lose to an inferior team. We also beat no one that we shouldn’t have. More of the same next year unless we get a QB.
I never stated RU would have lost without that KO play. I do think having an opponent not field a kickoff is lucky. If it wasn’t, you would see it happening more often, even in anticipated onside kick instances. No it isn't
Sorry to disagree
I don’t like the idea that we would have lost if we didn’t get that one play
We were fortunate with the play, and we might have won anyway
Would not use it as the reason we won with that alone, it dosen’t give our team credit
