A real burger is dressed with a slice of cheese, red onion, and 1 egg, over medium. Ketchup is not necessary.

I'm with wodie on this one. Thought this was basic knowledge. Quick question for my fellow foodies out there. What condiment, if any, is acceptable on a corn dog? I'm not talking about a fair corn dog or a frozen one, but like a top notch, restaurant quality corn dog. Talking about a 20-25 dollar dog.

Hit me back on that one. Food simpletons need not respond though.

Umm, yellow mustard. Anything else is a tragedy.

And a fair corn dog is the ultimate corn dog, get real.

ketchup is awful and have been saying so for years. Glad dk finally grew up and realized this.

Might have put ketchup on some Arby's curly fries back in 2011or so. Think that was the last time I personally applied ketchup to food. I'll check my food diary and tweet at kenji to verify

^ I get it. But I have a HUGE issue with it, always have. Am proud of you for finally accepting onions into your life.

This is a REAL picture of Sloot's last burger. With steamed veggies, of course. And you guys wanna support this woman?

LOL

That's a damn beautiful pic. The yellow and red contrast well with the burger, and it marries well with the veggies. Sloot obviously knows what she's doing. True artist, imo. It just looks so good. Look at the ketchup oozing out. It's very seductive. That's a nice *** bun, too. Man, I'm getting horngry!!! LOL

I was getting a tray at cookout the other day and said f it, I'll get the hot dogs! Yea! They asked me what I wanted on them and I was puzzled, I paused, and said "ketchup and mustard please....side of quesadilla...chicken".

Ketchup is for kids IMO. If you're over 10 you should stop eating ketchup. It's basically tomato flavored pancake syrup.

Neighbor made a meatloaf recently that had a lot of veggies inside the loaf. Pleasantly surprised

This sounds terrible.

First, your neighbor has you over and then feeds you meat loaf. Second, they stuff it with a bunch of vegetables - I mean, diced green peppers and onions are OK but the vision I'm getting here is corn, carrots and peas all stuffed in there? Gross, unacceptable and in clear violation of most HOA covenants.

Mmmmm Arby's sauce is like ketchup had hot steamy 3 way sex with BBQ Sauce and Hot Sauce.

What food item will BBdK's nasty *** have virtual sex with first?

The fact that mayo is acceptable but ketchup isn't.. [laughing]

Ok, I guess. Fine with either. Did some of you get ketchup poured on your heads in the 5th grade?

And if you're going to mix mayo, it should be with chipotle powder. This isn't some thruway stop in the early 90's. Food has evolved. Take a serving size of mayo, add as much chipotle powder you desire. That's the jist of it, but you can get fancier with other spices and/or lime juice.

I don't see a real problem with a little bit of ketchup on your cheeseburger - however, ketchup is best used as a flavor perk to stir into the beef patty prior to cooking.

You say that, but go home this weekend, and slather some chipotle mayo on some cheddar bacon sliders. Thank me later.

And for condiments, as far as I'm concerned: Buffalo Sauce >>>>>>> everything else.

If the burger is not grilled over charcoal, its garbage anyway. Ketchup and/or cheese won't save it.

^ your stupidest post of all time DSmith, and you've had a lot of them.

Grilled burgers are great/fine, but Flattop ftw. Any college burgerball knows this, good grief.
