Tough loss but we played hard and came close to upsetting them. Their receivers made some excellent catches all game long. If we bring this energy and coaching every game we will have a good rest of the season.

Yes you're all correct it was a competitive game. We played well at home. But at the end of the day we can't win theses games. I'll be blunt but respectful. Grid iron success starts with a solid HC & assistants. Then you need a solid OC & DC. Then one needs to assess talent, real talent and do what it takes to attract that talent. Can this happen? I say never. It will not be supported by the state (tax payers) or the institution. JMHO

Meh..I said that after the Wash State loss..Thought they fought hard and had something to show us the rest of the season ..but this team just cant close it out.. Just not winners..Leadership are not winners. Gonna get worse with Floods recruits the next few years so get ready
No moral victory talk here... But if a loss could be good for morale,this is one.
As mentioned here recently, we need to throw more on 1st down, spread formation more and let Rettig in there sometime.. Maybe train him for a 2 minute drill script and let him handle that? No need to look to the sidelines.. Just go!

I thought the team played a good football game tonight. Was heartbreaking to give up that last TD and was tough to see us unable to respond. But I saw a much improved team from what I've seen so far this season.
Don't care what the rankings say - Michigan is a much better team than Michigan State. Michigan State is eking out wins in every game its played. Michigan is blowing the doors off almost everyone. I expect us to get dismantled by Michigan. Sorry this is not a very good Michigan State despite what the polls say, and you are going to see that next week when they play Michigan.
This is a team that was day and night compared to the one that showed up against PSU and WSU. Very happy with how they performed overall.
