Holding them to 5 goals. That's a tremendous defensive effort by Army. Lehigh over Boston U is another.

Looks like the Patriot League final is Army v Lehigh.

Some of the bracketologists are now saying Maryland is in danger of missing the tournament if a couple of results go against them today.

I really can’t see that happening. They are limping in, but they will get in.

It definitely does. Lehigh had a worse go with injuries than we did. Army is just tough. Is always tough, and has a couple of difference makers at key spots.

Army D is exceptional. Was not a bad loss as some have said. Hope they win out. Another team who has been on bubble in past and unfarly left out due to RPI and ACC BS.

But Hopkins better keep it close tonight. And Cornell might have gotten themselves in trouble with the margin of their loss to Yale. The Baltimore Mafia might make the B1G and Ivy 2 bid leagues to get Loyola, Syracuse and another upset team into the tourney. Only the ACC could even think about getting 5 teams in. A travesty but a possibility.

Notre Dame getting drilled 10-3 with 5 left in the 4th and all the commentators can talk about is how Maryland and Cornell are in trouble.

Penn St Hopkins. Wow. That was one of the best games I’ve ever seen.
Rutgers clock operator embarrassed us though. Many mistakes and the BTN announcers were blasting him. Not a good look for us. If it's the same guy that operates the clock at the RAC, he spends too much time talking to people and not paying attention to the game

Cali-what are your picks for the 8 at large teams? Penn/Yale loser, Maryland, Duke, Hopkins, Loyola, Notre Dame, maybe High Point gets one, Denver...Or does Army/Lehigh loser get one? Not easy.

Md’s list looks good. I’m over trying to predict what they will do though.

I can’t see Maryland not making it.

Let me add the one result I'd look at with utter contempt would be:

5 ACC teams
Penn-Yale loser
Hopkins or Maryland
Loyola

And I wouldn't rule it out.

Every year at the beginning of the season I get excited for lacrosse but then I remember that the selection committee is basically a bunch of ACC and JHU good ole boys instead of a fair ruling committee that actually cares about the sport and I wonder why bother at this point.0

Army beats Lehigh 11-7. Down 6-5 at end of third holds them to one in fourth and puts six on them. Now 13-4 record, avenged losses to both Loyola and Lehigh during regular season. Good for them.

Army 11 - Lehigh 7. Somebody's going to have a difficult draw for their home game. "Why couldn't WE get Marist?"

yes, I saw him on the TV he is a long time ref in NJ

It wasn't one of his better nights. Also bad in light of last year's debacle where the horn got stuck in the televised RU - PSU game. I was in the stands for that one.

I always give them a lot of respect. They recruit well, have really good coaches, are well funded for the most part.

It’s a very legit league. I don’t love the style most teams play outside of Loyola, but it’s a serious conference.

For better or worse, there are a few too many teams...so the overall quality looks diluted a bit, but most years, Army, Navy, Loyola, and Lehigh are quality teams...with Boston University fairly strong this year, Bucknell other years.

The brackets are set, and can be titled "Let's screw the Ivy League". Not only didn't Cornell get in, but Penn and Yale play each other before the Final Four. And of course the ACC got sweet seedings (Duke and UVA ahead of both Ivies) and four teams getting in. The Baltimore Mafia strikes again.

I don’t know what the bubble looked like... but Hopkins got in?!? Wow!! High point beat Duke, Virginia, and Richmond. The selection committee is a joke

Man, that’s tough to swallow of you are the Ivy League.

Outside of RU lax and B1G lacrosse, my interest is really waning.

I agree. I have taken the kids to the Final 4 the last 8 years and I’m losing interest. I love watching the games all season long but when the same teams are given a distinct path to Memorial Day weekend, it is sad. ND lurks all season long wins some ACC games then is given a decent seed, year in and year out. I’ll be pulling for B1G teams, Army and Penn.

We beat Maryland----Duke a 2 seed----Syracuse who got in. Our SOS and RPI got us in .

We aren't great by any means this year but we had 4 wins against teams ranked in the Top 10 when we played them.

Terps were given a gift this year IMO.

One quality win vs Penn and 0-6 vs the Field.

Having said that they are capable of getting to Philly.

Cornell beat us at our place and beat Towson-----RPI was even-----I thought they deserved a bid over the Terps but IMO they didn't want the Big Ten with 2 and the Ivy with 3.

Bias went to Big Ten this year.

No, the bias went to the ACC as it usually does. Duke and Virginia both lost to High Point. Duke lost in the ACC semifinals. Just how did they get seeded higher than Penn, whose only losses were to Top 10 teams in February, and a 2 loss, no bad loss Yale team? AND the seedings were set up so only 1 of them can make Final Four weekend. That makes the RU Screw look like a minor inconvenience. And Syracuse lost in the damn play-in game. You can make as good an argument they should have been left out as you can for Maryland.

Fine. Debate Cornell vs. Maryland vs. Syracuse but there is no question which conference got abused.

There's a lot of dreck on the High Point schedule------Jacksonville , Bellarmine , Furman , St Johns , St Bonnie.

That has to be a 1 bid league----and then they lose in the Final by 8 goals at home.

Cuse got in on SOS and beating 3 teams in the Field along with Cornell.

Syracuse got the bigger gift. They lost to Colgate of all teams. On their own field.
