Hey, welcome to the real word. The athletes, parents, whomever, need to get smart and not rely on facilitators who are also relying on such commission to have the best interests at heart. Or maybe it's only a problem to people who yearn for the traditional? Maybe Jayson Williams is that? Unless the players are getting burnt and losing money...?
No it's not good for the sport and team building and all the things we USED to love about it. But guys like our Elijah Fisher - 4th school in 4 years - he got what he wanted, right? Kept cashing in?
I doubt anyone will be able to reel it in. It will have to police itself by people being burnt or schools with clever business marketing and management skills on staff that get into multi-year signed agreements. The more the NCAA tries oversight the more it gets kicked back.
