And it hurts the players development in the long run
Please don't tell me any differently.
Do we really think mamu would be in the NBA contributing if he played on 4 teams in 4 years?

Hey, welcome to the real word. The athletes, parents, whomever, need to get smart and not rely on facilitators who are also relying on such commission to have the best interests at heart. Or maybe it's only a problem to people who yearn for the traditional? Maybe Jayson Williams is that? Unless the players are getting burnt and losing money...?

No it's not good for the sport and team building and all the things we USED to love about it. But guys like our Elijah Fisher - 4th school in 4 years - he got what he wanted, right? Kept cashing in?

I doubt anyone will be able to reel it in. It will have to police itself by people being burnt or schools with clever business marketing and management skills on staff that get into multi-year signed agreements. The more the NCAA tries oversight the more it gets kicked back.

The NCAA is so discredited that nothing it tries to do will hold up. And the schools will never police themselves. Texas Tech I think got advice from its legal counsel to not sign on to the House agreement. And let’s see how many P5 football schools sign on to the clearing house agreement to not go to court on NIL disputes and to use the arbitration process laid out in the agreement.

stop paying the agents 20%. hell, for good players, dont hire an agent. Pretty sure coaches would find a way to contact naj hines. standardize contracts. allow and enforce multiyr. limit free transfers.

a basketball player provides more to seton hall than a student on academic scholarship. sad but true. so they deserved a cut of the money they generated. this bogus pos system paired with no sitout is about as bad a system as whoever was in charge could dream up.

He makes some good points bit fails to mention that a player has a choice NOT to sign with an agent taking such a high commission.
