It's stunning how bad it is so often. I have no clue if he's right about people influencing players (would be nothing new, BTW), but each player is definitely trying to do too much. That's what happens in slumps.

His handle on the rotation has changed a well. He's coaching tight. And he's such an emotional guy to begin with.

I'm not sure why we're so bad for such long stretches so consistently, but it's crazy. Now we've added becoming a fouling machine to the mix over the last 3 games. It's tough to overcome both.

Between the 2H at MSG and 1H yesterday, this team scored 42 points and shot 15/51 (.294) from the floor. 🤣🤣🤣

1H @ DePaul: 8/26 FG (.308), 20 points, outscored by 15 from the FT line for the game (25/34 to 10/17).
2H @ St. Johns: 7/25 FG (.288), 22 points, outscored by 10 from the FT line for the game (21/30 tto 11/20).
1H Butler: 11/33 FG (.333), 24 points, outscored by 16 from the FT line for the game (33/41 to 17/25).
1H Connecticut: 9/23 (.391), 22 points

What I’m curious about is if the constant whistles have made the whole team tentative to shoot and has disrupted significant rhythm on offense. And since Holloway’s message has always revolved around defense, I have to wonder if the guys just feel they aren’t permitted to shoot without making something happen defensively.

And then we are pushed into a late shot clock bad decision.

This is certainly not an inference that the offense necessarily HAD a flow 😆, it’s rather the fun and freedom to play is never there.

All that being said, it’s really on Holloway to get them back to having fun and trusting their game. Often trying too hard has huge negative outcomes.

Players have a big part and I say I feel they have this annoying entitlement and arrogance like some of these NBA players nowadays, but I feel Sha is deflecting and trying to act like this top 5 coach like he can't do anything wrong. In general he can't take accountability like a coach should. It's legit turning me off a long with his very tense behavior. He's that guy who thinks players have to be miserable to succeed and you can't expect players to have any feelings or whatever annoying criteria these people try to paint on others. The team just needs better organization and adjustments. Is wear they can win 20-22 games just by doing this but Sha wants this try hard cringe old school way of coaching and wants the kids to feel fear if they make mistakes.

Don't know what's going on but we are definitely regressing from the team ball we played to get to 14-2.Welcome to major college sports in 2026.

When the season started we played like a team with high basketball IQ and guys who were accepting and comfortable in their roles.

Now it’s a jumbled mess, no roles, all panic.

The team is tight, Sha is coaching tight, the rotations are not the same. He's leaving guys on the bench for a really long time and expecting them to come in and play well. And leaving other guys in for way too long.

The whole dynamic changed once we were ranked. And he's never adjusted to teams crowding the box against us trying to get us to shoot threes and not drive to the hoop. Our defense has been fine but the offense has been absolutely horrible. This is consistent with our offense under Sha though. Even with the St Peters run his team was horrible offensively until later in the year.

He has to look in the mirror - he has to reach out to the kids and get them to buy in instead of undressing them every game when they come to the bench for a TO. They need to find a way to get back to playing with nice spacing and hitting the boards really hard. The last few minutes last night we finally had some nice ball movement and took better shots. But that was with 4 minutes left in the game.

They need a reset and he needs to think about our program long term too. Who would want to play for him? We are going to lose most of our guys again unless he can be a little more encouraging and stop screaming his head off. He needs to coach better - it starts with Sha. Players are looking over their shoulder too much and don't want to walk back to the bench.
