He wrestled at 138, right? Is he expected to go 141 next year?
Totally agree, and I personally see it being close between JoJo and Pete. Remember, Pete will be RS senior, and has shown improvement each year. An NCAA qualifier is no slouch. But if it’s not close and JoJo is THAT good, so be it. If Lipari rides the bench during his final season and JoJo doesn’t sniff AA, though, I’d be very disappointed. You would think so, with Suriano at 133. If he can't beat Lipari or even if it's close, one might think he would redshirt. Even more interesting , is that Intermat lists Aragona as a 149 in college in their 'commits' list, along with Britton, Harrison, and probably Mike Van Brill and maybe even Zac Firestone (141 or 149). I'm guessing Britton and Harrison are sure redshirts next season

Was 141 too low for MVB?Totally agree, and I personally see it being close between JoJo and Pete. Remember, Pete will be RS senior, and has shown improvement each year. Also good call on Jojo’s weight - I hope he can be comfortable at 141. I really like MVB’s chances at 149.
Yes, many reported he’s better suited for 149, even 157 possibly. Was 141 too low for MVB?
Am I the only one that thinks Jojo beats Pete pretty soundly here??Totally agree, and I personally see it being close between JoJo and Pete. I'm with you. I'm almost at the point where I'd be disappointed if that wasn't the result. And I realize that may be unfair expectations for a true freshman coming in, but I really think he's that good

jojo is good, but not suriano, ashnault elite....when you are two of the best n.jAm I the only one that thinks Jojo beats Pete pretty soundly here??
Jojo is really getting overlooked here... the guy is the #6 p4p recruit of his class.... go check up some of the last #6 class recruit have been and how well they have fared in college.... yeah ash and Suriano have more state titles BUT if u just look at only their senior season jojo’s credential ranks right up there ... FYI Suriano was #3 class recruit and Ash was #8... I don’t get how people underestimate JoJo so much.. what more does he need to do his senior season..jojo is good, but not suriano, ashnault elite....when you are two of the best n.j
h.s wrestlers of all time.both four time undefeated state champs...that's ped st.
iowa, ok st. and oh st.elite recruit.....lets not forget ns dominated his wt. class his true frosh year before his injury, and aa red shirted and was ,and aa the next four years...two cant miss elite nat. recruits...i don't see jojo at this level.
could he get to this level, of course. might need a red shirt to adjust...i really hope im wrong about jojo's immediate success.
The lineup has too many question marks. Whoever wins the wrestle off should start. Watching JoJo in person last night, he might be the guy. $$$$As a redshirt senior Lipari will still beat JoJo.It will suit him to redshirt to get more accustomed to college wrestling. After that he will be on a tear.
I think lipari beats him pretty easy and it will benefit Aragon’s to get stronger and separate out of that crowded weight

No way he goes back down to 141 ...bank on it ...149 maybe but my guess is 157 ...he is ripped right now and I saw him last week ...he had no choice but to try and get to 141 last year once Ash decided to go 149 and it was just too much to lose ..no need to cut that much this coming year so it’s either 149 or 157 ..I’m predicting 157 tho !,Not big enough yet for a 157 but maybe in year 3 he moves up.He will do more damage at 141 strong for the weight.
I would expect him to be a NCAA qualifier and a dark horse to All American.
I’d imagine JoJo wrestles a few open tournaments in the fall then Midlands. The results and team needs will determine whether the redshirt gets pulled. One possibility is Lipari at 141, JoJo at 149 and MVB at 157. Glasgow would slot in at 165, Grello at 174, Janzer at 184. Other freshmen redshirt, I’d imagine. I think JoJo can hang with most on his feet. The question will be can he get out from bottom and can he score points from the top position on college level athletes.
You're out of your mind if you don't think ashnault wouldn't have qualified for the NCAA tournament as a true freshmanLet’s put the anointing oil away.
The best wrestler in NJ history at the time took some very questionable Ls as a freshman during redshirt.
Ashnault wouldn’t have qualified for NCAAs as a true freshman. I like JoJo. But he needs to sit for a year.
This x1000. He went 15-3 wrestling unattached as a true freshman, and was an AA as a RS frosh. You don’t go from not making NCAA’s to AA in a year. You're out of your mind if you don't think ashnault wouldn't have qualified for the NCAA tournament as a true freshman

Ashnault may not have been an AA as a true freshman, but I think he pretty easily would have made the NCAA tournament.Let’s put the anointing oil away.

?? I don't get what you said, but I'll just go with the fact that you might agree with me.This x1000. He went 15-3 wrestling unattached as a true freshman, and was an AA as a RS frosh. You don’t go from not making NCAA’s to AA in a year.

RU23..That's ok,we are all know it all wise asses on here.Im cool with it.Anthony Cassar never made it to the NCAA's and his first year he was a NCAA Champ
I know, I had to be a wise guy!

Know for a fact? You couldn't possibly know what would have happened if Ashnault wrestled his freshman year.If Ashnault had wrestled his freshmen year, we know for fact that he'd never had won the nationals his last year in college.
If JoJo is barely beating Peter L., let him redshirt to get stronger.
No one is against him Redshirting... think the speculation was who would win in the room out of jojo and Lipari...If Ashnault had wrestled his freshmen year, we know for fact that he'd never had won the nationals his last year in college.
