My preferences for winning March Madness, NOT my predictions (because the exits of 2022 champ Kansas and 2021 champ Baylor and 3 other Big 12 teams smashed my crystal ball to smithereens):

1. Kansas State, because it’s staying in the Big 12 and would give the Big 12 THREE consecutive national titles.
2. Texas, even though it’s leaving the Big 12 for the SEC (and paying $50 million to do it), because it still would give the Big 12 THREE straight national titles.
3. Houston, because it will join the Big 12 for 2023 football and 2023-24 basketball, and give the Big 12 a by-proxy claim to a THIRD national title.

The way this March Madness has gone it wouldn’t surprise me if 15 seed Princeton wins it!

7:15 pm CBS 8 Arkansas vs. 4 Connecticut
9:00 pm TBS 9 Florida Atlantic vs. 4 Tennessee

FRIDAY
6:30 pm TBS 5 San Diego State vs. 1 Alabama
7:15 pm CBS 5 Miami vs. 1 Houston
9:00 pm TBS 15 Princeton vs. 6 Creighton
9:45 pm CBS 3 Xavier vs. 2 Texas

I can't wait to see which 1 seed or 2 seed loses next!

Texas hates West Virginia. Makes no sense to root for Texas, and don't think a true WVU fan would do so. If Pitt were in the Big XII, would WVU fans be okay with them winning a national championship? Don't see it. Screw Texas.

No. It's Oklahoma that hates West Virginia. OU tried to block WVU move to Big 12 and invite Louisville who had originally turned it down. Texas wanted WVU in Big 12.

But I don't cheer for Big 12 teams in the tournament. I can during the season because if you beat them and they win afterwards it improves your seeding.

Pitt and championships have not gone together in 40 to 50 years. But I would root for Pitt to get their *** kicked at every opportunity. Just like I will Texas in the tournament.
