This may be Germans, forgive me if it is. I just found out. LFL rigs will only be given one drive in pass and you have to be in 2 1/2 hours prior to game time...and you can't park inside the stadium. You're vehicle has to leave. That's ******** Stricklin. Especially with the new parking around the Seal Complex. You normal LFLer's get ready to carry all your **** in through the gate after parking a half mile away. And before I get the replies that "people without passes already do that", I don't think you realize how much stuff we bring in, especially on big SEC weekends. And how many moochers we let eat and drink for free out there.

Personally I'm glad they're limiting it to one pass per spot but I don't see the need for making you drive back out.

I know its probably not possible for everybody but we get our trailer loaded up for the weekend on Thursday. By Saturday, the biggest thing you might need to bring in is a bag of ice. Of course besides Super Bulldog Weekend and those things we used to host, I think they call themRegionals, the crowd on our trailer is usually a maxium of 6 not counting a couple of friends that stop by from time to time.

That's ridiculous. Stricklin is beginning to look incompetent. Name a good move he has made in the last year. He has botched everything that wasn't already being planned when Byrne left....but at least he can tweet.

Being a LFL'er

and never having a pass....big 17'ing deal with the only one pass crap.

BTW...owned seats since "87"....so 17 off any crap and attend most (probably missed 3-4 -except for one bad year- weekends in 10 years) SEC weekends (besides that.... most none SEC weekends).

I said things that weren't already being planned when Byrne left. Byrne had already started plans for davis wade expansion and the football facility when he left. So all of the credit does not go to Stricklin. I think he picked up from where Byrne was on those two projects and did a good job seeing them through.

He's better than LT but that's about all I will say for him. He's done an okay job but I'm just not that big of a fan. Pretty sure I'm the only one that feels that way.

I agree with one pass for each lounge but the 2 and a half hour limit is just illogical as well as making you drive out. There is more than enough room for one car per lounge to park. If it ain't broke don't fix it.

Well he hired the best architect firm in the country to redo the stadium. I think we can all agree that the end result will be unbelievable. The brick, etc. just good vision.

He could have done what every other AD has done and hired "local".

Sure, there may be some questionable things but we wont know those end results for several years. That is why they are in charge. Do good, keep your job. Do bad, lose it. That is what comes with being top dog.

Besides, dont act like byrne would be doing all this different **** than what is going on now. Strick and byrne talk all the time. Im sure they bounce stuff off of each other.

I have to agree with it. Them dumb 17ers coming and going during game time cause a bunch of crap. If you're too lazy to walk then stay home.

Put your damn resume in then and see if it stacks up to the competition. Strick has been a go getter. There have been a lot of firsts under his watch that other AD's have copied or emulated. I like the direction MSU athletics is headed with Stricklin at the helm. The LFL thing is something new and DIFFERENT which has hit a nerve. If it happens to not work and be a pain in the ***, it will be fixed. He's done great fund raising. The 2 basketball coaches are his hires and it's too early to tell on them.

I just don't get it. Sorry. List all of his failures here so we can all see what you are talking about. I want to try and understand why he is such an awful AD for MSU. Educate us please.

Nobody can come in once the game starts. Once again many people bring in a bunch of stuff. Dumb policy.

Just to add detail and correct some of the inaccuracies concerning 'in-and-out' passes this year, during the meeting held Dec. 17 in the Griffis Board Room, Mr. Brent Frye laid out the changes for this year. Yes, they are limiting the purchase of 'in-and-out' passes to one per rig this year. And yes, they have indicated 'in-and-out' pass users must have their vehicles out of the LFL 30 minutes prior to when ticket sales commence, and the NE gate opens to allow fans into the LFL (making the lead time for access approximately 2.5 h before game time). According to our understanding, 'in-and-out' pass holders will have access to a reserved parking area in the lot just across Lakeview Drive from the access gate in the NE corner. The main reasons for this occurring stem from the PEER report commissioned by the legislature and IHL several years ago to look at liability aspects concerning the use of the LFL area and Mississippi State University and it's baseball program. Last year, there were times when if an ambulance or other large emergency vehicle had needed to gain access to the left field vehicles or bleachers, they could not have done so because of insufficient lane width between parked vehicles (on both sides of the access road), especially approaching the rest room area in left field.

Brent also mentioned that there may be safety inspections of the various rigs once they are set up in the outfield to provide some degree of assurance that units do not pose a significant hazard to their occupants, nor to other units in close physical proximity.

These are a few of the major elements on the table this year. With the front row being shifted towards the left field corner, and pull-in scheduled to commence Feb. 1, we have to all hope that the rains subside soon to allow the area to dry out before move in. Personally, the most dangerous operations I have witnessed out there involved pulling in vehicles, especially the modified cotton trailers, when the ground was too soft to enable safe maneuvering of the rigs. That can get real tricky (and scary) at times!

You are correct, sir. Don't post here very often, but happened to see this thread when checking posts over the last month or so. I decided to add some details I happened to hear first-hand in an attempt to help clarify the discussion.
