I've seen multiple posts suggesting Lebby as their new HC. I'm just in shock that I've read it multiple times over there more than anything.
No its not the route we keep deciding to take.I honesty think Lebby will grow into a really good coach. Hes still learning on the job. It sucks for us that we get to experience the growing pains, but that's the route State keeps deciding to take. That said, LSU fans aren't going to stand for bringing in an unproven coach... though at this point, who can they afford and who would take that clusterfuck of a job?
I'm a lebby guy but lets pump the brakes here.Give Lebby a good O-Line and he would be unstoppable. Put him at any major school and they’re in the playoffs every year.
When I read this, the first thing I thought is How Many Six Packers are posting at tigerdroppings?I've seen multiple posts suggesting Lebby as their new HC. I'm just in shock that I've read it multiple times over there more than anything.
We were debating whether he would be fired at the end of the year just last week. Of course he wasn't, but there was a real discussion about it. He's got a LONG way to go if he wants a better job than Mississippi State, and it's not going to happen this year without a couple more wins at least.I'm a lebby guy but lets pump the brakes here.
Overly emotional either way is a bad thing.
He looks to be pretty good. Even after the Texas game regardless of what some of you think. We were debating whether he would be fired at the end of the year just last week. ???No its not the route we keep deciding to take.
Since 1990 we've hired 7 coaches.
2 with significant head coaching experience and 5 coordinators.
The 5 coordinators has a lot more to do with who we could get than just "the route state keeps deciding to take".
I think he's saying it's not by choice but that we got the best we could afford which usually is a coordinator.???
You say its not the route we're taking then make my point for me.
Since Sherill, we have:
Croom- no HC experience
Mullen -no HC experience
Moorhead- no HC experience
Leach- HC experience
Arnett- no HC experience
Lebby- no HC experience
Not sure what you thought I meant but I'm saying we have by and large hired coaches that had no previous experience.
They're not going after an "up and comer". Their base will demand a proven head coach.I've seen multiple posts suggesting Lebby as their new HC. I'm just in shock that I've read it multiple times over there more than anything.

We aren’t going to move the ball on MizzouIf he goes 7-5, he will get a look. That is a real possibility. Missouri is without it's qb and Ole Miss is a winnable game at home.
We moved it on Texas and they're better than MO. MO has had a really easy schedule too.We aren’t going to move the ball on Mizzou
Arnett was a Band-Aid.???

And this is the problem, we keep hiring coordinators and giving them on the job training! If you want to be ahead coach, be a damn head coach, hire someone who runs your offense and manage the program!!!???

As I posted in another thread, one half of the coaches in the Top 20 right now are in their first head coaching gig. Only 3 active coaches have won a national championship, and all 3 of them are in the first, and probably only, head coaching job. They're not going after an "up and comer". Their base will demand a proven head coach.
LSU is looking for their Saban. The analogy for us is this is their O'Connor moment. They are done messing around. Just as we expect/demand to go to Omaha regularly in baseball, they are demanding regular playoff appearances now like Bama.I'm a lebby guy but lets pump the brakes here.
Overly emotional either way is a bad thing.
My point is we don’t do that just bc we think that’s the best option. Sometimes it’s our only option.???

Afford and could get regardless of money.I think he's saying it's not by choice but that we got the best we could afford which usually is a coordinator.
So you are on the Lebby train? We're going to have to raise and extend him to keep him here. He's doing a great job. People are noticing that and this offseason is going to be batshit crazy.
I thought Saban was a lock.I've seen multiple posts suggesting Lebby as their new HC. I'm just in shock that I've read it multiple times over there more than anything.
Cool storyLSU is looking for their Saban. The analogy for us is this is their O'Connor moment. They are done messing around. Just as we expect/demand to go to Omaha regularly in baseball, they are demanding regular playoff appearances now like Bama.
No Arnett was a leap of faith and a logical hire, in hopes to keep everything continuing in the same method of operations. Everyone or at least the fans thought he would promote from with in offensively and he would call the defense from the start. Arnett either went rouge or the powers that He didn’t vet him enough and find out what his plans exactly were. If the powers that be knew what his plans were and went along with it, which I don’t see how that couldn’t be the case, then our powers that be are dumbasses and there lies our continuing problem.Arnett was a Band-Aid.
We will move the ball on them.We aren’t going to move the ball on Mizzou
He's doing a great job. If he kicks the recruiting/transfer game up after correcting course...So you are on the Lebby train?
Curley Hellman did real well at Southern Miss. DiNardo was impressive at Vandy too…He has done one heck of a job here this year. Others see that even if we don't.
Cool so we went from 83% with no HC experience to 80% with no HC experience, when you pointed out Arnett doesn't belong.Arnett was a Band-Aid.
