Thing is you have to win the games you are supposed to win. Beat Minnesota, SHU, and Temple and no one is concerned with our OOC schedule
Of course - but for whatever reason, we’ve been more successful at going toe to toe and actually beating with teams that have more “on paper” talent than we have at clean sweeping the non-cupcakes that we are supposed to beat “on paper”. SHU is a rivalry game. I take them out of the mix entirely. When you look at every other decent but non-tourney OOC team we’ve played since 2019, we’ve really crapped the brick. Losses St Bonnie’s, Temple, DePaul, UMass. Wins I can think of - Clemson, Wake and Syracuse. 3-4 really stinks against that mix. I’m not convinced we would do worse than 2-5 if we played Kansas 7 times. That would be a much better resume.
