I said that Willard was exactly what we needed after the Bobby debacle. But wow, if you'd sign up for that in perpetuity, I'm starting to realize why we are never successful. This reminds me of a person who has been starved for years and is given McDonalds and they think they're eating well. Wow. Sad commentary here.
What is wrong with McDonald’s?

Sandro started his first game tonight and started at center due to injury. He had a put back and a 3 late that helped put the Raptors over the top.

27 minutes
12 points
5/9 FGs
2/4 3s
0/0 FTs
6 rebounds
2 assists
+11
awesome

What's incorrect though? Willard was good in comparison to bozos like Bobby G and in comparison to someone like Sha who basically hasn't proven anything yet in 4 years whose best season we didn't even make the tournament. But if that's our standard for success, we are THINKING SMALL AT SETON HALL. And that is the problem.
Think realistically. In the NIL era us making the tournament would be a reasonable goal.

I say again, if flaming out in the first round and not even being competitive in most games is your measure of success, NIL or otherwise, we are in totally different worlds. I believe we can have success if we stop thinking small. The right coach is everything. If Sha proves to be it, then terrific. If not, we move on.

The knock on Sandro has always been his defense. If he is just passable on that end, he's a solid rotation piece.

Expect Sandro to start tonight at MSG vs the Knicks. Gametime is 6pm. Toronto's starting big played 33 minutes last night and is ruled out for today's back to back game.

2nd half was dominated by the Knicks. Toronto didn't look good. Sandro played a lot but like everyone on his team, didn't play great.

27 minutes, 9 points, 7 rebounds, 2 blocks 3 for 9 from Field, 0 for 3 from 3, -17 +/-

The whole team ran out of gas. Lost in OT last night in Atlanta so playing a back to back on the road is tough. It all came apart in the 2nd half versus the Knicks. Not unusual. The Rapters had won nine straight.
