Conference play could even affect
Did I miss something? No one saying Nebraska in. Obviously. But damn dangerous in conference tournament.
That is simply not true. It’s the most important ranking tool for entry into dance…you are listening too much to BAC who always comes on here making a reason why we are out of tournament
No its not..its a sorting tool to be used as a guide
It makes a difference when I say Rutgers has the best win in conference and Bac chimes in Indiana beat them too
What? Seems like BAC making case we could still get in today even with loss and the PSU win. I for one think all hope lost with loss today.
The post I replied to was edited I think.. the original said something about them having a better resume than Michigan.
It's not about what Bac says, I actually checked last season and NET was not very correlated at all with the seeding. Kenpom, Bart, my own personal ranking, Massey rating were all more correlated. I'm not going to say being ahead of another team in NET is completely meaningless but it's really waaay down the list of criteria.

None of the ranking system matter much..the Net matters most of those ranking systems

i didn’t say anything about NET used for seeding. I said it was number 1 matrix used to pick field and every team in top 35 of NET made dance
Basically same thing, it’s a ranking and if you are below a certain point you don’t make it.
It’s hard to be top 35 in NET while having a bad resume. That doesn’t mean the good NET is what is causing them to be selected.
If all you are saying is it’s the most important computer metric.. then sure agreed. But it’s still not very important.
The fact that the top 35 from last year made the tournament will comfort me that our chances are still pretty good plus our large number of Quad wins
We’re not in the top 35 currently. If we are in the top 35 on selection Sunday it will mean we definitely have one more win and maybe two.
It’s really dependent on margin. If we lost two close games to Northwestern probably not all that far but at least into the 40s
Nobody who was in top 45 last year with a road win over the top team in country was left out
My point is that our resume is still most likely to get in but a win tonight will clinch it
