NCAA knew their rules weren’t appropriate though and chose to do nothing.
There is a reason NCAA Football video game ended in 2014.
They needed to share proceeds with the players for use of their NIL.
Instead of working to create an environment of cooperation with the players and share revenue - they took their ball and went home.
Literally decided to take less revenue just so they wouldn’t have to share with the players.
This could have all been solved a decade ago.
