This team was up 8-5 towards the end of the 3rd, and then they get sloppy and forget how to score..

It's literally happened every game thus far. The game plan has been awful.

Really thought Lacrosse was going to be the one to get that first conference title ... especially with the tourney at RU ... only positive is that conference play hasn’t started yet.

Very disappointed to lose to a team that RU has owned for 13 straight and 30-7 all time ( now 30-8).

Still lots of season left ... perhaps RU steals one on the weekend.

******* embarasding. 0-3 AT HOME vs American East teams??!!

I have a lot more to say but I don’t want to upset my friend. Essentially, exactly what I’ve been saying from game one, there are serious issues with this program right now.

Didn't realize Lehigh is missing a ton too with injuries. We're really bad. Think we'll have to battle to not end up last in the B1G this year. So much for expectations

When we were up 8-5, we lost all sense of urgency and aggression.

Played scared.

Tough one. Just didn't close it out when we had the opportunities, which were plenty.

Midfield shooting continues to be a huge issue. Can't rely on the attack to do all the scoring.

Congrats to Lehigh, that is a big win for them.

On to Syracuse.

I think Brecht is wearing out his welcome here. He can't get us over the hump and now we look like we're regressing. Terrible job by the team, but even more head scratching with Brecht and his new coaches.

I’ll defer the expert opinions to Cali and others here, but this team looks so tentative, unsure and less physical than teams of the last three years.

I really thought this was one of the men's team that was going to finally bring home a championship for us. I guess we have to rely on individual wrestlers and maybe the women's soccer team. What a huge disappointment.

I defer too, but just watching this game you don't need to be an expert to spot what's wrong with this team. You said it well; they look tentative, unsure and soft. I couldn't agree with you more. The midfield shooting seems to be non-existent and the defense is like a sieve. I don't need to know everything about lacrosse to see what's wrong here and neither do you.

Pulling goalie with shot clock and only down one goal... please explain?

It’s either the dumbest thing you’ve ever seen or a good idea... which is it?

I think you summed it up perfectly. Past years they were aggressive this year it looks like they're unsure and tentative. The vaulted new assistant coaches don't seem to be working out so well.

All B1G teams are 0-0 in league ... let’s see if team regroups or returns to 2015 form (5-10 that year).

Yeah, I didn't understant that either with a shot clock in place. We would have had more than enough time to go down and score and tie it up. Really head scratching decision by Brecht.

There are a lot of things wrong with this team, but simply if you can't win pivotal faceoffs, you'll never be successful.

We are living proof of that.

It's true. I think it's a combination of a few things. People don't want to hear it and I downplayed it myself thinking just because recruiting was on the uptick that things would just get better.

The reality is, we have 2 new coaches. They are both extremely well thought of. But they are new. We are also playing a ton of guys in new or bigger roles. You'd like to see continued progress and I think we get it in spurts, but it's clearly a work in progress.

The team goes from looking very good, to looking terrible, and it all happens quickly. That's a sign of a lot of young guys. Tonight our young guys killed us. I don't want to be too hard on Daninger, teams go after shorties like it's their job, but he isn't Chritiano who was injured. He got beat for at least 3 or 4 goals.

It's a Tuesday game after a big win. I thought we'd pull this out but the team didn't respond for the 60 minutes that was needed. The team better focus or Saturday is going to be a long day. The Dome is a tough place to play and Syracuse is coming in well rested.

Faceoffs were not the problem tonight. SSDM was.

How many faceoffs did we win when Lehigh started to go on on their 8-2 run to win the game?

If they don't have the ball, they can't score very quickly. It's not rocket science.

Easily the biggest area of concern. Sadly, our top guy was out, who is one of the best in the country. It's a huge drop off from him to a freshman.

Not sure if he is going to be back Saturday. Saw he was limping around.

Not sure Brecht understood why we’re doing it either. Seemed pissed when they called timeout. I think when you pull the goalie the idea is to double the guy with the ball. That was not happening either.

Always appreciate your insights Cali. Again, I never played the game, but I so enjoy watching it - ever since I worked as a student yellow jacket back when Cornell won the championship when held at RU back in the day. Seems like we just don’t have a killer mentality like we did in recent years. A few times tonight our guys had more room to get closer to the goal on shots and when shots were taken they weren’t with authority and confidence - more of a “let’s throw it at the goal and see if it goes in.” Perhaps their goalie making some good saves got in their heads. Again, this is from a fan’s perspective.

lol well there’s the excuse for the next L....[cheers]

Nuts, Syracuse is a storied program, just beat Hopkins, has many national championships and is playing at home. I know this is sometimes tough to understand, but they are favored to win that game. If we do, we stole one. It's that simple.

you don't need to be a Lax expert to recognize the same issues occurring without getting addressed. yes, this is a sign of youth, but it's also a sign of less than stellar coaching.

there's no way to sugarcoat it...today was a really poor performance.

Maybe we should play above expectations every once in awhile and not look like crap. After the Army game I remember you saying you were encouraged because our mistakes were correctable. Welllllll, maybe we’re just not that good. The record speaks for itself.
