I don’t give a fúck who is in power. The unified executive theory has gained too much traction. I said it when Bush was in office, I said it when Obama was in office, I’ll say it until I am blue in the face. The balance of power has shifted to wildly to the Executive and if you disagree with that don’t ***** when a Democrat is throwing Executive orders that are unconstitutional too.
It also requires a legislative branch to do their damn jobs which hasn’t happened in years. Everybody playing their silly tribal political games and not sitting down and getting things done because their “base” will call them traitors.

It is early. Trump did warn of US casualties. We will see.
I have great friends with their go bags heading to the bomb shelter as I type in Dubai. The hotel on fire it too close for comfort. It was probably an interceptor or debris and I doubt Dubai is a direct target. Either way...we got missles going over Americans. Small battle/no troops is little comfort for them right now.

You can’t take at face value what he said then
You have to take it at face value now
He was just kidding around then. He thinks of newer better ways to make things great every night. It’s not insanity or lack of planning or that he’s a dumb as a box of rocks mob boss who just does $hite and lies non-stop…

So glad to see Iran is just retaliating on military targets . . .

Okay that doesn't look like collateral damage(assuming the twitter knuckleheads aren't doing their fake video **** they like to do). Now excuse me while I go throw up for a while until I get the text they are in the shelter.

It’s okay for people to question if it’s a good idea to launch military strikes at Iran. I would say NOT questioning it would make much less sense.
It’s poorly timed. They did all the talking and sabre rattling a couple of months ago and there were uprisings in Iran spurred on by that but now it almost feels too late. Strike while the iron is hot if you’re going to do it.

What’s going to be the name of the terrorist organizing that comes from the vacuum of power in Iran that is going to be nemesis for us in 6 years? Isis and Ole Miss are already taken.

I agree with you, but I also think the Congress is possibly at its most dysfunctional point in history (acknowledging I didn't live through all of its history). Certainly in my kinda long lifetime.

We had to build up enough assets to launch overwhelming strikes on a continuous basis for as long as needed. It takes time to move carrier groups and position assets, etc, etc.

Maybe factual, but perception is reality. And if he was going to do this, he should have mobilized said assets to do so at the right time. Thats part of the job. He’s a salesman, this is something he should definitely understand.

I don't know about the timing etc. but I'm 1000% sure that if Iran develops nuclear weapons and the means to deliver them they will use them (under their current regime) sooner rather than later. So....

Plus he didn’t know how bad the Epstein Files were going to look for him 2 months ago. Epic Fury and Epstein Files have the same initials by the way.

Trump told us last summer that his strikes in Iran had permanently ended Iran's nuclear program. There was a sixpack thread celebrating what a great accomplishment it was for him.

I guess that was a lie?

im tired of what the president is doing being 100% right just because he is whatever side of the aisle you are on. It’s idiotic.
Cultish some would say…

Here are four core characteristics in more detail:
  1. Authoritarian & Charismatic Leader:
A central, often narcissistic leader who claims divine inspiration or unique wisdom, demanding absolute devotion and suppressing any criticism or questioning of their authority.

  2. Isolation & Control:
Members are encouraged to cut ties with outsiders (family, old friends) and live/socialize primarily within the group, controlling information (limiting books, internet) and dictating personal choices.

  3. Fear & Guilt:
Cults create an "us vs. them" mindset, fostering unreasonable fear of the outside world (conspiracies, impending doom) and using guilt to control members, making them feel they'd be wrong to leave.

  4. Exploitation & Abuse:
The group's goals justify unethical means, with members often manipulated for labor, money, or other benefits, experiencing emotional, psychological, or financial abuse under the guise of spiritual or ideological purity.

Not a Trump fan at all but what we're doing today is "peaceful" compared to what would happen if Iran detonated a nuke somewhere in the middle east .
"Monumental Damage was done to all Nuclear sites in Iran, as shown by satellite images. Obliteration is an accurate term! The white structure shown is deeply imbedded into the rock, with even its roof well below ground level, and completely shielded from flame. The biggest damage took place far below ground level. Bullseye!!!"

This was taken care of last summer, we were told. Obliteration.

You’ve made this talking point in every thread about Trump ever on Sixpack. We know…..we know.

I absolutely hate this $#!t. It worries the crap out of me. I have no doubts about our military capabilities vs. Iran's capabilities. This just seems like it might kick of something bigger. I hope I'm wrong.

Whether it was a lie or a mistake (it was both IMO) it needed to be addressed . The people in charge in Iran right now don't need access to nukes.

It wasn't a lie or a mistake. Iran has never stopped trying to develop nukes and they already had enriched uranium that they more than likely were able to secure before the strikes.
China has been shipping ICBM parts in piecemeal fashion and have been a major player in their nuke development.

And a lot of twenty something’s bought into the BS that he was the peace candidate.
It's wild how everyone knows this was a primary reason why Trump won in 2024, the perception that Harris would get us involved in wars or military actions around the world, in particular with countries like Venezuela and Iran, send US soldiers to die, but that Trump was the peace candidate. Trump said it all the time, his surrogates said it all the time, polls showed people believed it and it affected their votes ... and then 16 months later the complete opposite is true and it's 1984 in real life 0 - Trump's supporters seem like the honestly have no memory of that being a major issue in the campaign.

Let’s say this strike needs to happen for argument’s sake. I have no idea if it does or not. What I do know is it is okay to call Trump out for previous statements regarding the previous attack. You can support Trump and still call him out. I’m tired of what he does being treated like he is Jesus and can do no wrong.
