We are talking about completely different things. My point on Jabu package means a one dimensional play. In this case, ES is Jabu running an obvious passing play. The DL would love to see that.
Again, how can you miss the obvious?
OF COURSE it is a passing play. It would be a passing play whether or not you stick Simon in there and the defense would know that.
That's the point. If you need passing plays and passing plays only.. try Simon.
Example: 12:33 in the 4th vs Iowa.. down 12-0. The running game not working. Monangai out. Wimsatt takes shotgun and fakes handoff to sideways running Young... NO ONE BOUGHT THAT handoff BS. Everyone figured we'd have to pass being down 2 TD scores. Maybe if Monangai was in teh D could have read it as a run or pass being 1st down... but they clearly read PASS.
And later.. when it was worst.. 15-0 and 22-0... of course we were going to pass, pass, pass.
What difference does it make if it is Simon back there or Wimsatt? You think they respected Wimsatt's scramble ability? Based on what?
At least I can understand the people who say they'll trust the coach's opinions... don't agree always... based on what I see. But that is rational. But.. this? This making up pointless points like the D would love to see Simon back there so they know it will be a pass? Silly.
