Nice. My dad did some sort of adopt-a-player thing thru the Jackson booster club back then. I think he was president at the time. Matt was really great to us kids. I still remember we got stuck in the mud after some tailgate, and Matt lifted the van and told dad to hit the gas. It was awesome. I was around 8 at the time and still remember.
John Freaking Miller. If my memory serves me correctly he was the captain or “fire me up” kickoff coverage guy. I think he was #17.
