DERRICK 17ING TAITE

Very easy to tell which ones of us came of age in the Kang Era, when a kid first realized MSU could be good at football. His first 4 years are still how I think we should model our football program (except for Taite).

Sleepy Robinson
Marc Woodard
William Prince
Michael Davis
Kevin Bouie
Tay Galloway
Tony James
Etc Etc Etc

Unrelated to those guys but the best football name ever - Willie Blade
One year we changed the "Go State" cheer to "No Taite." Unfortunately we didn't have anyone better.

Trey Belcher.

I saw him play for Germantown high school. He and the dude we shall not name but played Wr at OldMrs, were Gtowns two RBs. They ran past most everyone in HS.

The best offense we had ever, until Dak came along, was Taite at QB and Moulds at wr and bouie/davis rb. Oh and Fred McCray at fb. 1994.

If Sleepy Robinson hadn't gotten injured.... what could have been.
We at least beat Ole Miss. Doubt we’d have beaten Bama but would have given them fits. We might could have beaten South Carolina, but that was just one of those road games where we don’t show up and we weren’t quite good enough to overcome that.
