Wasn’t Brohm at Perdue for a while? How did that goIMO Brohm has to be at the top or 1A with Elko who I doubt they can land. But whoever it ends up being they wanted a coach in here by Thanksgiving is that possible with any coach who is in contention for a possible playoff spot.
They have talked and are talking also Key interviewed today.Ehh, agree to disagree.
Can we end this silly fantasy now?

Not comparable. How's he doing now that he has backing.Wasn’t Brohm at Perdue for a while? How did that go

That tremor you feel is all his little minions marching back in to their holes after pining for his services. So you’re telling me there’s a chance.
Having worked at Perdue, Brohm doesn’t give his players antibiotics.
IDK if true , but plausible -
What about growth hormones?Having worked at Perdue, Brohm doesn’t give his players antibiotics.
Well, "all his little minions" (me included) will be happy to say, "See, Urbs coulda got us to a NC" after whoever Kraft hires flames out. That tremor you feel is all his little minions marching back in to their holes after pining for his services.
If he did talk to PSU it was probably in an advisory role, i.e., perhaps some names of potential candidates and what Meyer views as their strengths and weaknesses.Well, "all his little minions" (me included) will be happy to say, "See, Urbs coulda got us to a NC" after whoever Kraft hires flames out.
I suspect that if Urban did talk to Penn State, Kraft (and the rest of the admin) probably turned him off.
If he is the best candidate, that would be a terrible reason not to hire him.My only real issue is if Hartline came here and started to do really well in a few years and OSU decides to cancel Day, Hartline would probably go back in half a second, and at the top of OSU’s list.
Agree. Just like some, not you, who say we need to hire within next 30 days, even if means we are not getting the best candidate because we can’t wait longer. If he is the best candidate, that would be a terrible reason not to hire him.
Minion here. Not giving up hope. He has previously recommended Mullen for PSU and now Hartline for "his own" program. Hartline going back to OSU wouldn't scare me. I think Marcus Freeman is the next OSU coach. By the way, I have no inside info, no inside source and I dodn't get an email "that will make PSU fans very happy."That tremor you feel is all his little minions marching back in to their holes after pining for his services.
He did win the Big Ten West one year at a school that had essentially no success before or after him for several years. Not comparable. How's he doing now that he has backing.
But where would Ryan Day go that Freeman would replace him? Day is only 46 and he's won OSU a natty - he's there for the duration, I think. In fact, over his time at OSU, he's only lost a total of 5 games - two last year, when he won that natty.Minion here. Not giving up hope. Wouldn’t be shocked to see Day in the NFL sooner than later. But where would Ryan Day go that Freeman would replace him? Day is only 46 and he's won OSU a natty - he's there for the duration, I think. If Hartline is cocky, and presumably arrogant along with that, I wonder how he would get along with Kraft. If Hartline had a bit more age and experience, like Kirby Smart did when he went to Georgia, I would be more apt to support him.
Don’t be do sure…that door is not yet closed.Well, "all his little minions" (me included) will be happy to say, "See, Urbs coulda got us to a NC" after whoever Kraft hires flames out.

Agree. "I don't have the desire" can easily change to "After meeting with the people at Penn State, I found myself thinking about it a lot. I couldn't turn my mind off about the possibilities." Or ... it could mean he doesn't have the desire to coach.Don’t be do sure…that door is not yet closed.
That's true. Although, college coaches often don't transition well to the NFL. (See Saban, Spurrier, and Meyer himself.) Day may not care if he's getting paid enough at OSU, but then again top college coaches are doing as well as NFL coaches these days as far as money goes.Wouldn’t be shocked to see Day in the NFL sooner than later.
What about Bill O'Brien? Looks to be available soon. no need for a campus tour either.
Who still wants Fran Brown? He should be eliminated from all the boards.
It’s actually Comical that you think you have a handle on this …If it's true that Key is being interviewed, then all these other names are probably not in the picture. Also, if it IS true that Key is being interviewed, then Kraft better get him because almost everything below him is a clear downgrade from Franklin.
That was a bad interview.Who still wants Fran Brown? He should be eliminated from all the boards.
Why? Where is this coming from? Sources?Wouldn’t be shocked to see Day in the NFL sooner than later.
Source is me? Do opinions now need sources on this board? Why? Where is this coming from? Sources?
Yeah, don’t need to do it for the money that’s for sure. That's true. Although, college coaches often don't transition well to the NFL. (See Saban, Spurrier, and Meyer himself.) La. governor: LSU AD won't select football coach
Louisiana Gov. Jeff Landry told reporters Wednesday that LSU athletic director Scott Woodward won't be involved in selecting the Tigers' new football coach in the wake of Brian Kelly's firing.www.espn.com
I know that lsu is a public university, but how does this happen? The governor stepped in and interfered with the hiring process. Then, the AD was fired today.
Dumb question: Could this happen at PSU? PSU is STATE.-RELATED.. Does that matter? Could the PA governor get in the way?
