To all those questioning traveling to and fro the quarter as an away fan, you'll have a much better time pre-gaming uptown when the day comes for State to travel back to Tulane. I've never really found going to the quarter and line dancing to zydeco amongst the Ed Hardy crowd while having a DJ tell you to raise your 3-1 beers in the air to be much to write home about anyways.
I try to catch a Tulane game every now and then when not traveling to Starkville, and absolutely hate going to the dome to see the front row about 1/2 full. This move will encourage the old money uptown crew, many of which are Tulane grads, to get back involved in gameday. More students will also show up since they live within walking distance.
Going to baseball games on campus to see the home team, regardless of were you graduated, have proven to me to be a nice way to spend an afternoon. The football stadium will be a nice addition to uptown for the same reason.
