I haven't commented on my former team in weeks, but I will tonight. This team and franchise has allowed a mediocre coach to keep his job even though he has never won a playoff in 12 years.

ZERO for 5. His teams always look scared on the big stage. They are not prepared. He giggles and smiles and acts as if HE invented football. HE has rode the aura of being the DC for the 2000 Ravens for 12 years in Cincy. HE is the problem. HE cannot motivate. HE cannot innovate. HE cannot make adjustments. HE cannot adapt. HE should be fired. Won't happen.

Dalton is so limited, but teams have won with QB's at his level or maybe even below.

They should have kept Zimmer and let the Master of Mediocre go. Brown is too stubborn or unaware to realize the problem.

Back to my boycott. Peace out.

The Bengals are through. I have been on here last year talking about how they will not go anywhere with Lewis and Dalton and some said it was too early. How long does it take to figure this out? Yes, I realize Dalton just had his contract renewed and we will have to suffer through this for a few more years. Oh well, basketball season is upon us. Thank God I have that going for me, which is nice.

One really bad thing about the Bengals is that somehow the schedule worked out to where they only have two more home games left, one of them being against Denver.

UK_WINS_NCAA said Anthony Davis = John Henson. That's why he's leading the charge against my Dalton take: he's excited to see someone else make an awful take.

At least I had stats to show my reasoning (although stats obviously don't tell the whole story). Through their first 3 seasons Dalton had more yards, more TDs, and fewer INTs.

Done defending Dalton. Done defending anybody related to the Bengals.
So, was the conversation about whether Dalton is better then Big Ben at this point in their careers or that simply Dalton is currently the same or better than Ben now?

Originally he argued that Dalton is as good if not better as Ben now. When proven wrong, he changed it to "at the same point of their careers." Meanwhile while we've been arguing this point, Ben has set multiple NFL and team records and Dalton had the worst game as a quarterback in Bengals history, which is saying a lot.

It's one of the worst takes I've read on here and recent weeks have made it even more laughable.

They say it's a QB's league. But Eli, Big Ben, and Flacco have a combined 5 rings and Dalton is just as good if not better than all three of those guys.

Ben has a better body of work because he's been around a lot longer and he's played for a really good team. But as far as actual abilities as a quarterback, I stand by my statement. I'm not trying to say that Dalton is great and i'm not trying to say that Ben is awful. I think they are both middle-tier QBs. They complete almost the same amount of passes, and throw the exact same amount of INTs.

I consider the "top tier" to be Manning, Brady, Brees, and Rodgers. Ben has never been on their level, so yes I consider him to be middle tier. He has weeks when he is really good, and he has weeks where he stinks.

I think they are on the same level, and that is my opinion.

That's my opinion, and it isn't changing.

QB is much more than skills an abilities. Just ask the GM that drafted Ryan Leaf #2 (when many thought he should have gone #1 ahead of Peyton). It's about being smart with the ball, reading defenses, reacting, stepping up BIG in big games, and simply wanting "it" more than the other guy. Most of those are strengths of Roethlisberger, but NOT of Dalton.

Thanks for the clarification and yes, that is one embarrassing take.

I've always given credit where its due, even to teams I don't like. I obviously do not like the Steelers but I have also always respected their history and I think Ben's last two games were amazing. But Steelers fans, caught up in the moment of Ben's 12 TDs, acted as if I tried to compare Peyton Manning and Jamarcus Russell.

Moving on...

Pretty uneventful day so far. Doesn't seem like there's been a whole lot of excitement. Really miss having Sunday Ticket when my team isn't on.

Mike Tomlin is now 1-8 when Steelers play teams with winning percentage of .200 or less on the road. That is...not good.

In other news, the Titans once again looked like the most clueless team in the league. What a joke. They aren't mediocre, they're the worst team in the league. They WILL lose in Jacksonville and I don't see a win on the rest of their schedule. Whisenhunt inherited a bad roster and I'm not convinced he hasn't made it worse. This team seems to get worse every week. Pretty sure 90% of the roster couldn't give a damn, at least that's the way they play.

I agree it's tough to see another win on the schedule. It's going to be embarrassing next week. Prime time Monday night game with all eyes focused in. The Steelers are gunna KILL Tennessee. At least we'll have a top 3 pick, though. Givin our recent draft history, I'm not sure if that's a good thing or bad thing.

The Titans are the exact type of team Pittsburgh has lost to in the previous two losses. Wouldn't surprise me if it is a game.

Gotcha. It was mainly for those that Steeler fans that love to trash other teams but are rather quiet when their team is getting one.

I think the PACKERS might end up peaking at just the right time.

If they can make the playoffs, and catch a break (not going to Seattle or San Francisco in the first round), I think they have a chance to win it all this year.

So next week we got the 7-2 Lions vs the 8-1 Cardinals........

In other news, this is the time when it's fun to predict what teams get what pick, and who is possible top 10 worthy college kids.

Clearly #1 goes to Jax or Tampa right? Tampa goes QB, Jax goes defense?

Heck, I have no problem doing that still. Even if Pittsburgh sucks, I will still openly and vocally root against: Dallas, Cincy, New England, and Miami. Fandom, fanatic...fan.

Tampa will steal one along the way. Tennessee will not. They have absolutely quit. Jacksonville will humiliate this Titans team in Jacksonville. They have no answer for anyone's running game, they are literally easier to gash than hot butter. Our O-line is a joke. They brought in Mike Oher who was the ire of Baltimore by the time his contract was up. Should have never been signed and has been abused all year.

I have absolutely no idea where the team that went into KC in week 1 and actually looked formidable has gone, but they were gone by week 2. I guess I have to sit back and be patient while Whisenhunt constructs the roster he wants but history would suggest that probably never leads to anything good unless a top tier free agent QB falls into his lap, a task which this front office is incapable of executing.

I thought the Cardinals were fools gold even with Carson Palmer. I still think when the Seahawks and 49ers get their **** together - and they were both impressive yesterday - they're better teams.

If Josh Gordon gets acclimated quickly and Jordan Cameron can come back and stay healthy, the Browns will be a force to be reckoned with down the stretch.

No I never expected Detroit to be at this point. Our LBers suck and when Levy went down I thought we were toast, of course we had to comeback for 3 of our 7 wins, but they still won.

Arizona is solid, Peterson and Mathieu give them a SPT threat too. No chance they seriously make noise in the playoffs, but they are a team most don't want to see in round 1 either.

Cleveland is definetly dangerous, that secondary is just nuts......if West can really provide a run game with that weather in the dead of winter there they are as dangerous as any team out there. Would be awesome to see them get home field and Peyton have to play there to make the SB.

NFC South is awful. 7-9 wins that division. And that might be a stretch looking at their schedules.

Well, the Lions took a major step back today. I know we overachieved to be 7-2 but we played a team without their starting QB, and got handled by only hitting 2 FGs. Terrible display of football!

Really liking Tampa more and more. Evans is a legit monster at WR, Sims is legit at RB, ASJ is a beast at TE they just haven't figured out how to use yet. That defense is just miserably bad. Not to keen on Lovie Smith as a coach, but he did pretty good with Chicago and they were just as bad when he got there.

If I had to pick a SB winner right now, I'd have to say the Packers! Can't see them losing to anybody right now.

Terrible to see Gurley go down, but it will make things easier for Oakland to not mess up the #1 pick. I'd love for them to trade for Vjack who was almost traded week 6, then focus on defense in the draft. Hate when teams get forced into the sexy #1 pick hoopla so ESPN can boost ratings, and totally miss the easy smart pick.

The Lions have been exposed. Probably set for another first round loss. I get why we took Ebron, but besides our Dline we really struggle on defense. Hopefully the geniuses at the top realize LBer or better yet DB is pretty important too!

Titans suck.

Josh Gordon looked really good today in his return. Cleveland could be a very dangerous team come playoff time with Gordon back in play.

That ODB catch was quite possibly the best catch in the history of footballs.

And yes, the Titans are a disaster. Ray Horton needs to bring in someone who can teach these professional football players the fundamentals of tackling. I've NEVER seen a defensive unit at this level with such lack of skill. I'm embarrassed for them. It's a GD joke.

Last week Mallett beat Houston. Dalton is just terrible. Just think though, we have him for at least 6 more years.
