..yeah i don't think we have a right to this info... anymore than they have a right to know what i make. JMO
I think there could be a middle ground where you know what the team pays for nil, not individual.
it would help evaluate the coaching staff and ad..but they are pro's now and people know what their contracts are worth
idk

I heard he was making 3 million this year and took a 1.2 or 1.8 million cut for his injury.
the ncaa should work with the irs, so we have a clear picture what each team is paying for nil, per year.
so fans get a perspective on expectations or lack of.
plus one would want to take into account the cost of living in each place.
not hardly

seems reasonable to me, to much given much expected
Look, you seem like a really good dude who tries hard and is very pro NU.

Not trying to burst your bubble or get into it with you, but the majority of your thoughts just aren't realistic.

People are always looking for idea guys, but they have to have some basis in reality.

I don't see the problem, lets say osu pays 40 million nil, and Illinois pays 20 million
then a score osu 40, Illinois 20 would track..
but if it was Illinois 40 and osu 20, this would seem unorthodox and cause for investigation on osu's part

makes zero sense
Logical absolutes, or the Laws of Thought, are fundamental, self-evident principles of reason: the Law of Identity (A is A), the Law of Non-Contradiction (nothing is both A and not-A), and the Law of Excluded Middle (everything is either A or not-A). They form the bedrock for all logical deduction, mathematics, and rational discourse, acting as universally true, descriptive tautologies that define how reality must be understood for thought to be coherent, existing independently of human minds.

if A = 40
A can not be 20 or 30

Then I suggest you take your NIL business plan and start presenting it to Berkshire Hathaway, Union Pacific, First National, Kiewit, etc and see how Buffett, Kiewit and the others feel about you being the CEO of this plan.

There really is nothing rational about this discourse. I'm done now, this is a total exercise in futility.

Maybe CEO of your 8th grade economics class.
if dr. tom or mcbride want to help that would be ok...
we can all agree something must be done to right the ship.

if you have a better solution thats fine..

buffet has 148 billion:

thats 148,000,000,000

lets say we average 500k per starting linemen

148,000,000,000
- 2,500,000

this all fantasy numbers--most are aware of the endowment capacity. most economic advisors would tell you not to exceed 3-5% annually of the endowment for long term financial health

Your ability to not let others bring you down is very commendable. You don’t get into an insult hissy fit. Keep being you!

I bet all these posts bashing Chiles for his game against us would argue it was just the great pass defense if this conversation was about Sorsby who didn't fair any better against the Blackshirts (13/25 for 69 yds, 1 INT) and he's the top QB in the portal per some. I'm not comparing the two outright because I'd clearly take Sorsby but to point his game against us as the total body of work isn't fair...few QB's had a good day against us this year, at least first half of the year. I do think a more run/RPO base offense would suit him better. Not sure that's us though.
He was 8-12 as a starter at Michigan State. Does that scream winner to you?

I think there is a good chance Chiles plays for Nebraska next season. The lack of other teams interested in Chiles and the inability of Matt Rhule to bring top players to the team make this almost a sure bet Chiles will be in Lincoln by January.

Do I think will play well? "No". That is my bet.

If he plays well. I will get on the Board and beg for forgiveness. Again, I am betting I will never have to that.

Well Rhule lies about as much as you do. Dylan was offered $2 million/yr to come here, was flirting with leaving after his freshman season, so was upped to $3+ million/yr this past year.
Calling somebody a liar is fightin words in my world. Prove your numbers.

If he plays well you will. No doubt. The mea culpas will be flying
If Chiles plays well, I will come on this Board and admit I am wrong at the end of next year's season. Will you admit that you were wrong if he plays poorly? (Can't believe I am writing about Matt Rhule and his team on Christmas Eve. We went to a party earlier and now I am with our dogs while the wife is at church.)

Hope your family and you have a Merry Christmas.

Thanks for the input. I agree it would be better to have to fire our coach again, and start over again.

NOT.
You "I don't want to start over" fans are weird.

What does that even mean, start over, like...the new coach will literally have to get players that have never played football before? This isn't some feel-good 80's movie where a new coach has to recruit guys that have never played football.

And I know there is always the "They have to learn the playbook", okay, it is just not that hard.

I asked because it didn't seem like you were on the same page as Tuco. You were arguing something completely different than what he was proposing.
