Yeah, we don't have enough good players to beat A&M.

I'm embarrassed.

Not having Booker in on that last offensive possession and having 1 for forever Aaron in to just charge is just pooor coaching. Period.

The best Kentucky team was the 2012 team with Anthony Davis and MKG and company. 38-2 losing only on the road at Indiana on a last second 3 point shot at the buzzer when that game could have been salted away at the FT line and losing in the SEC conf tournament final when they were tied with Vandy with about 5 minutes left then just fell apart at the end but dominated the NCAA tournament.

That was the team that could have gone 40-0.

Good job to close it to 3.

Much better defense down the stretch....offense needs to go thru Towns and Booker next half. Aaron needs to work the midrange for us. He's a 3 or layup only lately...and his best game is in between IMO.

Given how this game started, I will take a 3pt deficit.

However, we NEED to come out and play the entire 2nd half the same way we played those last 4 minutes - with a little bit more efficiency in scoring.

UK shot just 9 of 30 from the floor (30.0 percent) but 6 of 13 from behind the 3-point line. Texas A&M was 13 for 29 (44.8 percent).

That was 20 minutes of pathetic basketball. Lee and Dakari might as well stay in the locker room. When everyone is playing this poorly, I have no idea why Cal won't put Willis in the game. It's not like he can play ant worse than the guys that have been playing.

I don't want us to lose obviously, and I know people say no such thing as a good loss, but I don't know if these guys are gonna get it if they keep winning after playing like this.

ETA: fixed win to lose. Doh.

down 3 stenchmouse at half 28-25. They are muggin us inside so we basically have to shoot 3s in this game as they will not call anything that would help us. We didn't start with Defensive energy and it hurt us just like last game but i still think we will this by 15. Just get Booker open looks . He could have 6 more 3's if they find him.

DUMB PLAY- we have some players who are not too savvy. Cal hasn't found a 5 man combination that is clicking in this game. Bigs can't do anything inside and guards (except Booker) playing poorly.

When the Harrisons are bad, they are really bad. And when they are good, Aaron is really good and Andrew is ok. Today they are pouting. Still, that's not the main issue. Since teams have learned to take away the UK lob, the bigs look lost having to score on their own. And they are weak going after rebounds.

This is as bad of a whistle as we have gotten all season. 10+ obvious fouls on A&M not called. It is hard to run offense when the hack and grab going on in the post would make even Pitino blush.

They aren't having a great game, but Ulis was getting killed on the defensive end. Harrisons just need to learn to finish at the rim. That was their problem last year and they aren't any better. However, Aaron is a pretty good defender and we need him for that.

Conference play so far looks like we are back in the early 2000's when Mich St was dominating. Get you a couple of 6'9" muscle guys inside and you can defend the post. Makes for ugly basketball, but it works. Thought the game was trying to move away from that. No way that this many college athletes fail to finish from 2ft away unless there is significant contact at the rim.

96 was better. Their only losses were to teams that were in the final four.

If you think the problem is officiating......

Gottlieb spot on with his halftime analysis. Which says everything you need to know. Lazy, no energy, no fight on defense. Ugh.

We get poor officiating sometimes. Today is not one of those times. We're playing lazy and look lost on both defense and offense.

Their inability to finish at the rim is mind-boggling. If you are a ball player that never dishes on the fast break, at least learn how to lay the ball up or draw a foul. They both frustrate the hell out of me.

No. They are sleepwalking on defense and the Harrisons are not making the zone move much at all. Our zone offense is pitiful. But we are lucky as hell to be down 3 with the way we are playing defense today. But you are saying the officiating is right on? Because to that I say you are being ridiculous.

Lyles and Booker need to shoot more. Twins are 3-13 right now. They need to slow down on the shots a little.
