Why is it a joke ? If anything it will be cool to watch on tv and tv money/viewers is what this conference is all about.
Have you ever watched a game broadcast from a small stadium? This will be similar sitelines to a high school stadium. The sidelines look to only be 10-15 rows of seats. So I doubt it will be “cool”.

My issue is the competitive advantage gained. More to do with the logistical and operational nightmare it will be to move 150 plus people around in a temporary atmosphere while your competition is working in their normal environment.

And the possible weather-related advantages too.

Yes I have. I watched many Rutgers games when we played in a small, crappy stadium that was aged by!! You must be a young guy and missed that ! Btw it did not give us a “competitive advantage “

What are you talking about? Aged by?this is a brand new facility used by lacrosse and soccer. With bleachers built out for less than 5k permanent (think our old field hockey field where open practices were held) with temporary to bring it under 15k. Not young still picking splinters from the bleachers.

Obviously you didn’t look at the pics and videos of the stadium they are playing in. Think your high school stadium not the old Rutgers stadium. Also it’s not only the stadium that is giving the competitive advantage but also the facilities in general.
From one of the articles I read about facilities. Visiting teams will be placed in small makeshift locker rooms (not able to accommodate full team) or possibly cordoned off portions of the indoor practice field. How to you secure those locations? How can you meet and prepare as a team prior and at half time?

It’s temporary! What are you talking about ? I never said northwestern’s facility was aged !

I bet you the visiting teams do quite well there ! You really think northwestern will go better in home conference games because of this ? They will probaby be .500 at home in conference games at best !! Plum knows

You inferred it when comparing the old Rutgers stadium with the northwestern lacrosse stadium. I don’t doubt teams will do well. But it is still an advantage that will catch someone by surprise. It also sets a precedence for open manipulation of facilities and scheduling in the future similar to what Penn state did with the wrestling match this year not having a working replay system in their “temporary location”.

Okay, now I can see it.

My high school stadium when I lived in Houston, which was built in the late 70's, seated more than this:

Typical plum, arguing about anything. I hear he has a problem with clouds:

We should play Oregon in the swamp of Johnson park after some rain. I am good with that
