PSU blitzes from their left, and the NW QB completes it for a 1st on that side

Why are the defenders so far off the receivers? Honestly, I don’t see any teams as poor on pass D as the PSU defensive backs. They all should play in the Big 12.

Unreal. Throwing right to the stick every time and consistently getting it. Wasn't the secondary supposed to be good?

And that “short-intermediate” passing game is what has been missing from AK’s offense, as I’ve been saying. Slants, seam pops, etc.

AK relies on too many behind the LoS, and then downfield routes that take too long and aren’t well drawn up, regardless.

You soften up the defense across the middle of the field with the passing game and you free up your running game, and you occasionally break one.

If they do throw shorter beyond the LoS, it’s usually to a stationary target or to the outside. Let them catch it in motion and see what happens.

I just had a horrible thought. This could be the year that PSU loses to rutgres.

Inability to stop both run game and pass late in the game is stunning. Was Knowles a sabotage job?

TD, NW, on a run. He was stopped, but breaks through Gilliam.

NW is going for 2.

NW with a run, and they are stopped well short. DeLuca with the stop (joined by other teammates)

22-21, NW, with 4:51 left in the game.

An 11 play drive by NW
