Seems what I predicted is starting to happen. Who is the gymnast everyone is talking about now? It's Sunisa, who has a gold, silver and Bronze and is now competing AGAINST Simone for a 4th medal.
Simone's exit was inevitably going to open the door for someone else. And that someone, for right now at least, is Sunisa.
Simone could certainly take a lot of the attention and GOAT talk back if she can win over Sunisa.. but we'll see.

The mother of Raven Saunders (the U.S. woman who won silver in the shot put and did the protest on the podium) died 2 days after the medal win. Now she has a legitimate mental health issue to worry about.
U.S. 200m runner Lyles shuts it down with the lead and gets passed by 2 runners to lose the automatic qualifier. Had to wait to see if he made it to the finals. He was fortunate that his time was good enough to get in.
That reminds me of those football players who let up early on long runs and nearly get tackled from behind. That and dropping the ball right near the goal line is aggravating to watch.

They are snake bitten. To many different people likely training for it instead of the same 4. They looked like they never exchanged the baton before between them.
These longer distance races always seem to have people tripping up each other. A US runner tangles her feet up with another runner and they both go down and are eliminated from the 1500m. The other US runner in that race finishes 6th and has to rely on time.

The Shot Put is really something to behold. Those big old boys throwing that thing like nobody's business. I wonder how far they can throw some small adults lol
Hold the phone. The US runner gets to go through thanks to the judges and the one waiting to see if her time was good enough makes it as well.
They said that's the equivalent of picking up a bowling ball (16 pounder I think), standing at the free throw line, turning around, and then throwing it to I believe the other basket. That's nuts. That's kind of challenging doing that with a basketball.
I think youre right. I think I read it weighs 16 pounds for men and 8.8 for women. They guy(Crouser sp?) who won it had it already won, but went ahead and took his 5th and final throw. Missed breaking his own record by .08 meters. That sucker went 73.3 meters lol.

Something has to be fixed. Stop trying to cram in the best available players and go for fit. Start recruiting guys who better fit the international rules. Maybe even make our national team only players from eliminated NBA teams, so they have the time to gel.
Christian Wood, Wall, Zach Lavine, Zion, Fox, KAT, and others from teams that missed the NBA playoffs.. should still torch any team if given the 3 months to prepare.

When I was listing PGs I totally forgot about Fox.
I know all of the best of the best may not play but there are better options than what I is on this roster.

I almost think you need more 3rd and 4th tier NBA team options. Too many chiefs. Not enough hungry guys. It would create a good balance... And with these top players, a lot of them just carried their teams for 82 games and playoffs.
Also, Pop is too old.. and I'm sorry, he's a bit too concerned with making social statements. There's better options at this point.
